Historically, NY as a city has never put up any resistance to tyranny. It folded quite easily to the British during the Revolution. It embraced Lincoln, and thought he was just dandy. It has been run my tyranny-loving dweebs for pretty much its entire existence (but Giuliani was somewhat of an aberration in that respect, though he was a big fan of big government, and the bigger the better as far as he was concerned).
