A public university sent an email to alumni highlighting the esteemed research of one of its professors research that notes many similarities between the old Ku Klux Klan and its modern-day equivalent, the tea party.
The University of Washingtons email to alumni asked the question four separate times: Is The Tea Party like the Ku Klux Klan? Christopher Parker, a UW political science professor, argues in a new book that there are major similarities. The book is titled Change They Cant Believe In: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in Contemporary America.
In this commentary from Professor Christopher Parker he argues that recent research shows racism is a strong indicator of Tea Party support, said the email, which plugs Parkers book.

It’s become as predictable as identifying the perp of a sucker-punching incident as `African-Amish’:
Like the book `Arming America’ by Bellasiles, this one is probably .000001% (arguably) factual, and 99.99999% pure, lefty, ideological BS cant.
“Academics” are free to research and publish—as long as they hew to the party line; in truth, they are propagandists.
They would extrapolate racism from the above when in fact the first premise has become conventional wisdom and a fact practically susceptible of judicial notice.
For example, there are probably a dozen similarities between the Roman Empire and the Union Pacific Railroad. By this stupid professor's logic, the Union Pacific Railroad is therefore the successor to the Roman Empire.
The UW is where I a) got my master’s degree and b) started turning away from liberalism.
Can’t say they didn’t end up giving me an education after all.
I don’t trust anyone who poses with his hand under his chin.
Exactly. They cannot believe that it is their agenda that we oppose since they see themselves as saviors.
Step 1: Wipe out the RINOs in the GOP primary.
Step 2: Run the table on the ComDems in November 2014
If the nation is to survive it must happen. Then we have some serious surgery to do in Washington DC. (DC=District of Corruption)
I’ll wouldn’t be suprised if any schools in Washington State are not teaching the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers, particularly Section 8 of Article I.
We could dream. But they are saving the Amnesty Bomb until after the deadline for signing up for the primaries.
They are intent on ending the Republican Party in 2014
How do people this ignorant get professorships? He doesn’t understand the Klan or the Tea Party. I wonder if he even knows that in most states the Klan members were Democrats?
Obamanista.
Jake Locker feels right at home in conservative Tennessee.
Go figure.
Lies do not bother ComDems, it is part of their method.
But it indicates his contemplative nature.
There will be a hot war before that happens.
If that is what they really want, they had best be careful what they wish for.
The KKK was the violent radical arm of the Democrat Party, who tortured and murderd blacks, before the democrats learned they could use them for votes, so that government could intrude in everyones lives.
The TEA party is the peaceful, country-loving, typically Republican amercians who want government to stop intruding into everyones lives.
I could see where he got the two confused...
Off topic, but I got an email once talking about how once a bureaucratic rule is put in, it is VERY hard to get rid of (reference to obabamacare). The long example followed the course of history from Roman Chariot wheel base to modern-day train track width!
