Some years back, I was having a discussion with several of my liberal friends, who asked what my objection to their ideology was. My answer was simple: because liberalism (or progressivism, as they now prefer), when taken to its nth degree, must and does end in fascism. In order to achieve the liberal paradise, and since the common folk cannot be trusted, coercion must be part of the solution; the generation that screamed off the pigs now controls most of the levers of the federal government, and have become the pigs themselves.

Did you know your President ordered that US flags be flown at half-staff to honor the African Communist terrorist? And he is not even an American; but then, neither is Barack Al-Obama.
Hey now. I just noticed you said “your president”. Speak for yourself. LOL!
Umm.........no.
Michael Walsh is right. You can’t get to Liberal Utopia without passing through Fascism.
The reason is that liberalism/Socialism/Communism runs counter to human nature, which compels a person to make survival choices that benefit self and family FIRST.
The Pilgrims almost starved to death when they instituted a ‘communal’ work system after first arriving here. It wasn’t the Native Americans who saved them. It was their realization that people are fundamentally oriented to labor for their own self benefit, and that they’ll labor even harder if they can realize a profit from their hard work.
A funny thing occurs when you simply allow people the freedom to enrich themselves by the fruits of their own endeavors. They become very charitable to the less fortunate among them, and everyone benefits.
Some people that get paid to sit on their ass will do just that. Keep sittin’, keep gettin’ paid? Some love it.
