A group of evangelicals in favor of passing immigration reform have a message for House Speaker John Boehner: "We're praying for you."
In new ads, Evangelical Immigration Tablegroup that has been behind immigration reform on Capitol Hillasks people to pray for Boehner and House Republican leadership on immigration reform and urge those leaders to listen to their prayers.
The group says the ad will air on WTOP, a radio station in Washington, D.C., as well as 30 Christian radio stations in Texas and North Carolina. A Spanish-speaking iteration of the spot will also air in Southern California.
"Our immigration system is broken and it is hurting everyone," says Dub Karriker, senior pastor at the Christian Assembly Church in Durham, N.C. "Families are separated, employers can't find the workers they need, and the undocumented who want to get right with the law are told to get in a line that doesn't exist."
The ad continues: "More than ever, Speaker Boehner needs our prayers. Congress can pass a true conservative solution that will actually fix our immigration system...Please join me in praying for Speaker Boehner and House leadership that God will help them find an immigration solution that reflect biblical values."

there’s a mass exodus of illegal aliens back to their own countries ???
Pray for Boehner to acquire some integrity.
Employers can't find the workers they need??
Why dont they hire those poor underpaid abused Walmart employees that the progressives(libs)/unions keep complaining and protesting about. (all last November)
If there are so many empty jobs in USA then why dont the Walmarts and McDonalds employees take them and quit those places? Why do we need more of them?
High skilled/educated immigrants is a different situation, but the above shows we are being lied to.
Aren't things so lax now that they could just order a green card and get it delivered to whatever their US address is, if they wanted to bother?
I am totally in favor of immigration reform:
1) Secure the border
2) Enforce the current laws
Now that would be a change I could support.
LOL, looks like they dont want to get ‘right with the law’ quite that much.
Looks like they want the law to change to make what they been doing illegally into being ‘right’ (legal)
Self hating pseudo evangelicals. And a lot of self hating pseudo Roman Catholics are in that boat too; it knows no denomination.
Of course as their ‘god’ runs out of credible options, maybe they will be sold on the real God and leave that boat.
From the grief that illegals were giving Obama at that CA immigration rally it must not be as lax as is thought by most here.
They insisted he stop the deportations and heckled him over it.
Follow the money!
But again liberals never ever whine about non-problems do they? :-)
I am connecting the walmart and McDonald protests to the claim that all these jobs are unfilled and we need illegals to fill them, clearly this contradiction is glaring.
But no one in GOP has guts to call it out anymore.
What I be praying aint what they be praying.
The work market is stifled from both ends by fear.
Jones was content to force his own followers to drink the Kool-Aid, not everybody else.
These are his base. Its different with them and GOP.
Some libs were speculating that if Obama stopped deportations then there would be little pressure to pass amnesty with citizenship, so Obama actually told these hispanics that the law requires him to deport, believe it or not, and they need to pressure congress to act.(Dems see this as a easy win political issue to win elections)
You never saw that exchange? Just curious.
