One of the worst muck ups I’ve ever seen was printed in the St. Louis Post Dispatch several years back. I posted it here with all the “updates”.
They were reporting a robbery and were talking about the man’s gun. They referred to it as a .38 m.m. pistol. After about an hour they posted a correction, that it was not a .38 m.m. but a 38 m.m. pistol.
Next, they “corrected” it to, a 38 caliber automatic revolver, then they tried a .38 caliber automatic revolver. After that they just gave up. They never did get it right.
(We should do this with more victims...other inmates won’t know what the deal is...they’ll just think this is what happens to criminal deadbeats...better than the SCARED STRAIGHT approach)
