Homicide victim booked into Potter County Jail

Amarillo, TX - A local man is arrested in Wednesday's early morning homicide.
He is being identified by Amarillo Police as 25 year old Michael Ross Philley.
Officials say he is now being held in the Potter County Jail, accused of murdering 53 year old Eddie Don Turlington.
He was also booked on a warrant for assault against a family member.
Just after 6:30 Wednesday morning, police say they responded to a call for a possible stabbing on S. Mississippi Street in the San Jacinto area.
That's when they found Turlington inside on the floor. They also found Philley who was detained and questioned.
At this time, Police are not calling this a random act.

Well, with the historic cemetery having to turn people away (story in the lower left), maybe he was booked in the jail the way people are booked into a hotel for lack of anyplace else to go.
