Just think, they’ll be able to bring her a new broom whenever she needs a ride
“Mommy, the Drones Here! “
Something MoDo will never hear since she has never been able to hang onto a man long enough to get preggers.
In this singular instance, I agree with her.
I really think a commercial proliferation of drones (and government drones as well) is something to be dreaded and opposed in every way.
Setting aside all other problems with delivery or cargo drones: they make economic sense in some circumstances.
If you compare Amazon’s drone delivery costs, to ordinary delivery by van on a route; you get an idea of the premium for rapid delivery. If the drones are competing against courier services; then they might save a lot of money.
Long distance air cargo drones could save even more money for shippers. If crew costs are greatly reduced, then the most economical aircraft could be used, even if that meant going slower and taking a few hours more.
That said, I don’t want no stinking delivery drone in my neighborhood.
The piece had squat to do with drones. Amazon conned them out of a free Cyber Monday ad.
