Speaker Boehners recent comment that there would be no conference on the Senate bill appears to have been a lawyerly evasion. He has now hired Rebecca Tallent to lead immigration efforts for the House, in the words of the press release. Until tomorrow, shes director of immigration policy for the pro-amnesty Bipartisan Policy Center. She was McCains chief of staff, directing his participation in the 2005-07 amnesty battle. Before that she worked for Representative Jim Kolbe, also pushing amnesty.

Filthy traitor!
shame???
First to add the caveat: if this is true and it is Boehner’s intention what don’t they get about this? It just can’t be tone-deafness it is intentional.
Now THAT is the Boehner we all know and despise.
They want to do what is good for some of their donors, not what is good for the country.
They're going for big business contributions, they've bought the 'demographics are destiny' bullsh*t and, believe it or not, think their involvement in amnesty will help them win hispanic votes.
The Stupid Party.

The behavior of Boehner, McConnell, McCain, and Graham does lead one to believe they are puppets dancing on strings like Obama. Even the Bush presidency, in hindsight, now seems that way particularly the way Bush seemed to give up after Katrina. It seems as though the decisions regarding our country are being made in a secret room. The politicians are given roles to play and merely do as they are told.
Aren’t AZ people among the biggest boosters of illegal immigration? Heavens knows why; must be the desire for low-cost labor
They wanted immigration reform in September, then October, then November. They’re about to adjourn so it’s not happening this year. They’re planning on next year, either after the primaries are over or in a lame-duck session.
My only hope is that the coming election will kill immigration reform. The establishment is pushing the line that if immigration reform is not passed, that republicans will lose. But the opposite is true.
So they’re going to talk members into securing their seats first, then convince them to vote for immigration reform, once they’re safe.
Insidious! By hook or crook, they want it passed. We have to stop them!
Wow. Important decision-making festivities at Whig headquarters.
Nobody can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like the Stupid Party.
Welcome Islam and antisemitism license!
For years big companies have been infiltrated by communist workers who make sure that those they do not like are claimed to have “no interpersonal skills”. In other words arguments are provoked, lawsuits follow and good workers are thrown out.
They are producing animals of fear and terrorism.
Well we all knew something like this would happen didn’t we? Lets face it the GOP leadership wants this issue to go away and the easiest answer is just do amnesty and then they won’t have to deal with it any longer. Sad but true. Politicians always look for the easy way out.
