Rep. Mo Brooks (R., Ala.) is warning his constituents to not go on healthcare.gov, the Obamacare website, unless theyre willing to accept the risk that their identities will be stolen.
The online health care exchange has been beset with glitches since its launch, with one particularly alarming issue being users having their personal information compromised. The Washington Free Beacon reported Tuesday that the marketplace is even more vulnerable to security breaches since the administration fixed Healthcare.gov, according to a cyber security expert.
Brooks, therefore, bluntly said he would not recommend anyone from his district, Alabamas 5th, go on the site. He made the remarks in an interview on The Laura Ingraham Show Tuesday.
RAYMOND ARROYO: Would you recommend to your constituents signing up then for Obamacare given the security lapses and vulnerabilities?
MO BROOKS: Absolutely not. They in no way, shape, or form should get on the healthcare.gov website unless they are willing to accept the risk that their identities will be stolen or that they will be subject to some kind of deception or fraud.
I agree with all you typed. It is that bad probably purposefully.
They may be Americans by birth, but not loyal to this country or it’s people.
to clarify ... the many working with the power brokers are not Americans by birth.
“Banking and bill paying is secure.”
How secure is something like a VISA pre-paid card?
Thanks.
What I was referring to is our “elected” officials.
Congressman Blowhard and Senator Doofus.
They are setting the table for their own blood kin to have to live in a communist country and apparently show no concern whatsoever.
As far as ozero’s associates, oh yeah they are not us in any way.
I don’t do banking and bill paying online either, except for direct deposit of regular income. I’m with you about feeling safer writing out checks. I use cash for regular expenses. It’s not just being less worried about the transaction, it’s that if I use cash locally and write checks for other expenses, I don’t spend as much. Really reading statements and spending cash is a great financial discipline tool.
Very.
If you don’t mind writing checks, you are safer not paying bills/banking online. That’s according to a computer security course I took.
When you say scammed, do you mean someone talking me into doing something stupid with my money, or something else. Will never happen, too tight with my money.
But I tell you there are many people that don't follow that. See them everyday in a financial institution. They think they are getting free money.....
