Didn’t Mia Farrow star in a movie about this?
Psalm 139:13
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mothers womb.
Ssssh, don’t tell them that, once they figure out that we have private hospitals as well as the NHS, then they’ll think it’s ok to come here and criticise in person
;)
I suppose the question is germane. Sawney Beane, truth or myth?
“...The Brit govt has basically assaulted her,...”
Nah... yer overreacting....
EVERYBODY knows that When governments do stuff like this it’s clearly not assault. It’s “for the common good”.
It’s only “assault” when YOU fight back, dontcha know... or try to prevent them from harming you. THEN it’s “assault” and whatever else they can dream up.
Gots ta get it right, friend!!!!
(hope I don’t need the /sarc tag here...)
Hmmm, lol.
Good question, probably myth, perhaps based on some reality, but like many myths, grossly exaggerated.
BTW, I am not blindly defending Essex NHS in this case, I am as uneasy as everyone else here, I am just pointing out that such case aren’t exclusive to old Limeyville.
Hi!.
You still living over here, in this dump of a country?. Why, lol.
Essex Social Services (or SS if you wish lol), not NHS.
And to top it off they refuse to allow her to have her child back because she may suffer a relapse, even though she is now taking her medication.
So they can take a child away just on the possibility that someone with a condition may relapse?
“Bipolar disorder is highly heritable. The baby has a high chance of being bipolar as well.”
I’ve suffered from panic attacks occasionally all my life. My Doctors advised blowing in a paper bag and physical exercise first before taking meds. I never knew that in Briton a panic attack is cause for having your child taken away, but of course she is the one that called the police.
Its a better place career-wise for me and beside that, she-who-must-be-obeyed is from England and I promised her we’d move back if she kicked breast cancer. She did, and after paying off 10k in medical bills, we packed up and moved over, other than the weather, I love it here.
None of the government's business.
Something like that would alone cause serious mental anguish and problems. Talk about trying to send someone over the edge.
Sooner or later, the government will assume control over that which it presides. Making abortion in Roe V. Wade a federal issue which it is not (as well as many other thing the Feds interfere with unconstitutionally) allows the government to close in on assuming control over pregnancies. The “progressives” and socialists would like to make everything and everyone property of the federal government. They already do pretty much whatever they want. The next step isn’t too far from that.
If this bi-polar woman had decided to have an abortion the British state would have paid for it and applauded her “right to choose” to “terminate her pregnancy” and expel the “fetal tissue” from her body. They would not have accepted an argument that she was not mentally fit to make such a decision or that the unborn child had any recognized rights. By intervening in this case and forcibly taking the baby, the British state has effectively recognized that the fetus is in fact an unborn child deserving of protection. They are blinded by their hypocrisy and will never admit the obvious.
Whether or not thats true, one thing IS true: is it is none of the government's business.
Okay, how is that even remotely ethical?
