A police helicopter has crashed into a busy pub on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow.
It happened at The Clutha in Stockwell Street at 22:25 on Friday.
Police Scotland say there were three people on board the helicopter - two officers and a civilian pilot.
Police have not confirmed whether anyone has died but 32 people have been taken to local hospitals. It is not known how many people are still trapped inside the pub.
A senior fire officer said they had made contact with some people trapped inside the pub but the building was unsafe and they were taking a "methodical" approach to the rescue.

Authorities have not yet been able to determine how the pub happened to wander into the flight path of the helicopter. There is some indication that Air Traffic Control might not have been able to maintain reliable radio communication with the pub after it entered controlled airspace.
A full investigation is expected to shed more light on this and other questions.
Prayers for all involved!
You sir, might need to lay off the gin.
:)
Tragic...who knows how many scottish people trapped in a pub. Fortunately the authorities are taking a “methodical” approach to the rescue. Are the people writing this aware of what they are doing?
It’s disconcerting when you realize how long ago this accident happened, that there is so little information.
Supposedly there was a concert going on at the time in the club and one report said about 120 people were inside.
We’re about 10 hours out and the most recent reports say from 3 to 6 fatalities. Three people were in the helicopter.
It’s a gravitation thing. Tanks of lager and mountains of donuts can suck any police vehicle in.
Crivens! Och,aye, wee Johnny is still i’ the pub.Woolna part frae his Guinness.
I’m going to need a translation for that.
Some of us seniors don’t have any choices. Like my husband and me. I did not have enough quarters in SS, so I draw off my late husband’s account. When I remarried I married a Ret. SCPO who is over so is on TriCare Life.
So we are stuck with the very rationed Medicare and TFL, And any one with an ounce of grey matter knows 0 will shove us off these plans and unto 0’care plan.
Both to old or in my case health issues to go back to work. No one wants a 73 year old retired career Navy man, or one who did another 20 years as a College Prof, who used his GI Bill to go to college after he retired from the Navy. Then he put in another 20 as a JR college Proff, teaching the heads full of mush Remedial Math, they had graduated HS with A\b’s in, before he could teach them the electronic and computer courses they had signed up for.
The only thing I am left to live on will be my SS, Medicare and TFL. My SS would not even make the payment on the new starter home we now have. We moved out of the cesspit of Memphis, just 22 miles, our car ins. dropped $200+, house is smaller and less ins. less taxes by 2/3rds.
Praying for Scotland, land of my father’s people.
...And just like that, I’m laughing again. Thanks.
"...damn near kilt 'em!"
Scotland Ping!
Cripes! For sure little Johnny is still in the pub, refusing to part from his glass of Guiness Stout.
BBC: Glasgow helicopter crash:
McKeown plays after rescue duties
‘Stranraer captain and firefighter Frank McKeown played in a fourth-round Scottish Cup tie just hours after carrying out “traumatic” rescue duties at the Glasgow helicopter crash scene.
McKeown was one of more than 100 firefighters working through the night at The Clutha pub, before playing against Clyde.
“Obviously it was a bit of different build-up to a game,” said McKeown. “Last night was a bit traumatic - an hour [of sleep] is what I got.”

note: Stranraer is pronounced ‘Strann-raar’. Its a lovely wee town right in the SW of Scotland, a major port town and ferry travel hub to NI. The Scottish Cup, as the name suggests, is the major knockout soccer cup competition in Scotland, open to all teams, from pub teams to giants like Glasgow Rangers and Glasgow Celtic.
