I Want an American Baby! Chinese Women Flock to the U.S. to Give Birth
TIME ^ | 11/28/2013 | By Hannah Beech

Lured by U.S. citizenship for their children, thousands of Chinese women give birth annually in the States, supporting a thriving birth-tourism industry.

Jiang Wenjun was getting ready to go to America. His wife, due to give birth to their son any day, was already there. Like any expectant parents, the Shanghai couple agonized over how best to prepare for the arrival — and upbringing — of their firstborn child. American citizenship, they decided, was one of the finest gifts they could bestow. “America is the strongest country in the world,” says Jiang, whose son was born just days after he eventually arrived in California this month. “We want our child to have the best future.”

The U.S. is one of the few nations where simply being born on its soil confers citizenship on a newborn. That policy has spawned a birth-tourism industry, in which pregnant foreigners flock to American hospitals to secure U.S. passports for their babies. Although the foreign couple can’t acquire U.S. nationality themselves, once their American-born offspring turn 21 they can theoretically sponsor their parents for future U.S. citizenship.

We have a lot of oriental folks in the community in which I live, in a state in the central mid west. Some are Japanese, some are Taiwanese, some are Chinese, a few Korean while quite a few are Vietnamese.

I’ve gotta say that these people treat me as a customer with Utmost respect when I go to their places of business. The food at restaurants is priced reasonably, very reasonably, and the servings are generous.

The laundry mats have the best prices in town, AND when I finish my laundry, the owner even helps carry out my bags.

They work hard to learn English, and give good customer service, and to be as helpful as they can be. MANY have told me how much they love the United States even though there is much that perplexes them.

One man asked me why it was that our people are so violent, why they kidnap and murder. They are accustomed to disciplining themselves and don’t understand why it is that Americans don’t. The man really hoped for an answer, and I didn’t have one to give him, because I don’t understand either, so that’s what I told him.

He took the time to learn Christianity and joined a church here. A young man lives in my apartment building below me, and he’s as nice as can be! He works nights and he doesn’t even complain if it’s a bit noisy in my house. Course, he appreciates that I did what I could to help him last winter when his car was stuck in the snow. Even though I wasn’t able to do anything to help, I tried, and he has treated me with much kindness and respect! While he was in Taiwan visiting his family, I kept an eye on his apartment for him. He’s just a kid and he’s a great person!

I’ve had encounters with Hispanics with very mixed results, but if i had to choose a favorite, the oriental people win hands down!

I’m sure that results vary from location to location because all cities and towns have their own personalities which can make a huge difference in a person’s experience at a given location. I’m just saying that my own experience where I’m at is excellent.

The US government has been trying to deport a German family for quite a few years who came to the US several years ago because they wanted to homeschool their children and Germany wouldn’t allow them to do it. Since they came they have given birth to at least two American born children. These children are American citizens. How can the government deport American born citizen children?

If a Kenyan commie can get elected president in this country, electing a Chinese commie should be a cinch!

I totally get that. I just wanted to point out the Chinese who DON’T fit your model citizen mold.

But if you look at IQ, asians seem to rate higher across the globe than all other races. So they’re unlikely to be a welfare drag on the country overall. They seem to want their babies to have access to good education and good economic opportunity. Just the fact they’ve developed this industry around getting their babies born here shows how industrious and productive they are. That being said, I wouldn’t oppose changing the law so that one parent has to be a legal U.S. permanent resident for the kid to be a citizen.

I can guarantee you, a Communist Chinese willing to so flaunt and finangle US laws....does not work as hard as a American.

I have Chinese-American family members...and they are the ones who informed me about this.

Chinese culture is different - they are good at making money and holding onto it, but they are also very generous within the family. But there is also is a big difference between recent immigrants who grew up poor in Communist countries and every other type. Survival skills developed under Communism and (unnecessarily) practiced in the USA often come off to us as "bum" or "greedy" behavior. The Chinese peasant who manages to get to New York and work in a restaurant (and don't ask me how they get in legally) is an entirely different type of human being than, say, a Taiwanese grad student.

If our current President manages to serve out his full term, we may all find ourselves reduced to raiding recycling cans for food money.

There was a classic radio drama in the 1940’s starring Bette Davis as a pregnant European waiting in Mexico to be allowed into the US. She was determined that her baby would be born on US soil and thus be American. (And he was, but it was close). Of course her reasons were different than today’s birth vacationers.

But, then China's view of morality doesn't correlate at all with ours. Getting caught is the worse Chinese crime...nothing else.

That certainly explains what those bastards did to American dogs back in 2007.

It didn't happen to my dogs since I buy only American-made pet products since I am naturally suspicious of anything that comes out of that wretched country.

What is sickening? Well, I live where there are many. I know they are Chinese because my Chinese students taught me the difference between Chinese and NON-Chinese. The Chinese have perfectly ROUND nostrils. The rest of the human race has oblong or NOT-round nostrils. It is true. Ask'em.

1. They don't seem to take care of their yards. If you see a DUMP of a yard, the owners are quite probably Chinese. Their yards also never seem to be watered so whatever plants are there are sad, dry and weed-ridden. This doesn't apply, of course, to those Chinese who might have gardeners.
2. They don't seem to take care of their houses. If you see a house that DESPERATELY needs paint and you're in a nice neighborhood of well-painted homes, the unpainted one probably belongs to Chinese.

In my opinion, and it's just an opinion, the Chinese WILL spend a ton of money on education--for their SONS. I don't ever have the feeling that they spend the same on their daughters. But, I don't know that.
Also, cleanliness COSTS and the Chinese don't want to spend money on it. It appears to be a waste of money for them. They WILL spend a TON of money on a new car or three, especially if numba one son wants a new car. I DON'T see the daughters driving around in ANY cars, old or new.

Conclusion: The Chinese and Americans have VERY, very different world views. When I used to go to the big fancy Chinese restaurants I was told never to sit by the wall, as the cockroaches will come scampering up the walls. I was to sit in the center of the room, FAR away from the kitchen.

By the way #1: the CIA's Chinese in America, are VERY different than the ABC's, American-born Chinese. The ABC's are pretty much like the rest of Americans.

btw #2: When the Chinese first came into the athletic arena their athletes didn't do very well. THEIR answer to that was that meat was very expensive to "grow" and their military got whatever meat there was. NOW, they say, their military AND athletes get whatever meat there is. Their athletes do VERY well now.

First, the mexiclowns, then these commie pukes. Another deadweight unpatriotic generation of leeches.

What a coincidence that the commies used to be our worst enemies. So what did we do? We invited them to LIVE here.

The Mexicans work. They come to California and work the harvests every summer. They work in the USA for THREE stinking months and go back to Mexico and live the other nine months in comfort.
The Mexican government gives the braceros GUIDEBOOKS on how to enter the USA illegally. BUT, the Mexicans don't want ANY illegals in THEIR country and their southern border with Guatemala is closed as tight as can be. Belize is also down there but it's hardly a country at all.

The Russians come here and work too, but they know how to manipulate big brother. They have logged into all the government mainstream offices for welfare. They work the system like nobody's business...experts at squeezing whatever money out of Uncle Sam they can.

If a Korean boy was born in the US, he doesn’t have to do mandatory military service.

The yards of a lot of hispanics and blacks and rednecks could be called dumps too
