Yeah it must have slowed tremendously but that was expected. There was a magnetic pulse that masked it in imaging.

Still a majority of scientists are saying this is just more or less a ghost but I say bull for it’s maintained it’s trajectory and brightened as it was supposed to.

I say it’s intact and lookin sexy!

Yeah watching this morning there was one scientist that suggested that the magnetic flare to the right of that pictured screwed with the imaging because it automatically would reduce brightness in order to view a flare like that...leaving the comet to appear like it was being demolished.

Spaceweather.com saying:

"COMET ISON--UPDATE: New images from SOHO show something emerging from behind the sun. It could be a small fragment of Comet ISON's nucleus or perhaps a "headless comet"--a stream of debris marking the remains of the comet's disintegrated core."

There was definitely brightening, maybe the space weather folks got it wrong.

Well the last image on that like certainly shows it’s more than debris. I had it at 50 percent mass survival since October...I think we are right there.

Yeah, from that image link you posted, it appears the orbit track may be wider than the original?

Looks a little anemic to me, another few hours and we'll see.

Heading for Boston? Washington? San Francisco?

Lol, we’ll have to wait for more data. Don’t forget that we also pass through the tail in January.

I'm clear on that...could be interesting.

To: who knows what evil?

Yep, especially after considering the number of head on flares ISON encountered. Could be much more of a debris/dust trail than usual.

Tell you one thing, the tail really widened out in the last few frames, either a bunch of debris or it’s reorienting as it moves away from the sun.

My two cents is the Sun didn’t get it. I’m just looking at the trajectory and basing my opinion on that.

Remember it’s still be muted by that big magnetic storm so I would suggest ISON is huge and very very bright!

Also compare the debris field of it’s tail....that’s about a quarter to half the sun’s diameter....that’s huge and when we pass through it on the 27th things should become really interesting...
