I reckon y'all are busy with last minute errands, cooking preparations and maybe travel plans. If you're traveling by car, God be with you, please be safe, and watch out for the other drivers! As for yours truly, I have two quickly defrosting turkey breasts (bone in) that I must tend to some time today. Yikes.

I'm posting this thread a little later than usual, because Jim has an appointment with his doctor this morning. The appointment is a check-up with blood work. Remember he was anemic, so thank you ALL for your continued prayers. We're hoping and praying for wonderful news upon his return and also hoping he's met with several donations from you all!

Almost anything can serve as a stuffing, many popular Anglo-American stuffings contain bread or cereals, usually together with vegetables, herbs and spices, and eggs. Oysters are used in one traditional stuffing for Thanksgiving. These may also be combined with mashed potatoes, for a heavy stuffing. Fruits and dried fruits can be added to stuffing including apples, dried prunes, apricots, and raisins. In England, a popular stuffing is sausage meat seasoned with various ingredients, sage, onion, apple, etc.
The stuffing mixture may be cooked separately and served as a side dish, in which case it may still be called 'stuffing', or in some regions, such as the Southern US, 'dressing'
