Salle de Bains MacNessa again has a functioning toilette.

The fill valve was not defective. It is an advanced water-saving "earth-friendly" model that had a couple of wrinkles I had never encountered before in my extensive history of repairing and installing conveniences.

In short, I was reduced to reading the directions. Oh, the humanity!
