I suspect McConnell, and many other Senators are effectively 'Double Agents'. They pretend to espouse Conservative causes (because their voting districts are conservative), but they are just Big Government Statists - pretending otherwise.
That is why McConnell 'lit' into Sasse. Sasse is McConnell's enemy - not Reid.
