Obama Named to GQ's "Least Influential People" List
Town Hall ^ | Nov 24, 2013 | Christine Rousselle

As Cortney pointed out, the media still considers the President Obama to be a "celebrity" rather than the leader of the United States. According to the magazine GQ, however, Obama is not even that good of a celebrity: he landed at #17 on their annual list of the 25 Least Influential People.

Here's what the magazine had to say about the president:

17. President Obama

He can blame Republicans in Congress all he likes and get away with it because congressional Republicans are the worst. But the fact remains that I have spent the majority of this man's presidency watching bad things happen, then hearing a thoughtful speech about how we gotta make sure the bad things never happen again, and then watching as nothing gets done. Next time there's an election, I want Nate Silver to analyze the data and tell me who to vote for so that I don't end up casting my ballot for a very eloquent hat stand.

Ouch.

Former NBA basketball player and unofficial ambassador to North Korea Dennis Rodman took the list's number one spot. Other notables on the list included convicted murderer Jodi Arias, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and former Rep. Anthony Weiner.

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; Government

I guess that’s the official snub.

Still I am not so sure it’s true. Without at least an obedient figurehead there, Democrats wouldn’t be able to wreak as much evil as they have.

Obama is very influential. He is lazy, uninformed and stupid so he delegates all his dirty work to the people he and Valerie Jarette appointed. These appointees are very energetic and evil and are the real Obama regime. Obama is just a laid back chairman of the board who watches his orders carried out. Who in the regime is disobeying Obama? No one. They are all happy with what is going on

So ObamaKare is screwed up at the moment. They don’t care just so long as the Republicans can’t get rid of it and just so long as Democrats get to stay in power. Sure Obama was briefly embarrassed by the useless website. Sure he had to get on Airforce One and make a few more speech defending and lying about ObamaKare but now its back to golf and shooting hoops with Reggie. Obama is probably already exploring way to cash in after his presidency.

I disagree with the article. Our Poser-In-Chief is not, nor ever will be, "eloquent." He reads his tripe off a computer screen. I've heard more articulate phone trees than this clown.

Other than that, the summary is spot on.

Not very bright. I figured it out all by my self.

I canceled Scientific American when they gave Obama some award in 2009 as being one of the “most influential Americans in science.” All about how he had brought a new era of enlightenment after the dark age of Bush.

Without his teleprompter he isn’t even eloquent, he is just a hat stand. Although Clint Eastwood said it first when he portrayed him as an empty chair.

The way I see him is as that old, worn out Lazy Boy recliner you have shoved in the corner with a busted, sharp spring poking up out of the seat, that you keep having to warn people to stay away from.

Oh yes, Most Dangerous To Humanity award should go to O., and eventually history will bestow it upon him. Meanwhile, our departed Comrade Vladimir Lenin is posthumously eaten up with jealousy!!

a very eloquent hat stand.

Sounds a lot like an Empty Chair to me.
