Secretary of State John Kerry says the Iranian nuclear deal is based on verification, not trust with Iran.
Everybody has a right to be skeptical because there are indications that there are people in Iran who have wanted to pursue a weapons program, Kerry said in an interview aired Sunday on CBSs "Face the Nation." That's why we don't take anything at face value. That's why you don't take it for granted.
Asked if he were skeptical whether Iran would actually comply with the signed deal, Kerry said trust wasnt necessary, and no one was expecting Iran to turn over a new leaf.

They will tell the inspectors where they can go to verify. Eventually the verification process will break down. The inspectors will leave the country. I think we have done this before.
I don’t honestly remember the time frame, but it’s what I expected to take place. Remember Jimmy Carter trying to sell his plan just like Kerry is now.
I read a book about the Koreas and the journalist-author seemed to have high hopes near the end of the book for the deal, but he was told by a N Korean General “That’s your agreement, not ours”

Sounds about right. The Communists don’t make any pretenses about telling the truth.
“The end justifies the means.” That’s generally their credo.
That’s why it’s so strange to watch folks buying into deals with them.
At the end of the day, I’m still very leery about our nuclear destruction pact with Russia too.

So, we make a “deal” knowing that they will NOT abide by it, but it
s the time to make any kind of deal we can? With demons? REALLY?
