Friends,
While I have no problem appearing on left-leaning media outlets and programs, I could not in good faith appear on Martin Bashir’s program after his revolting comments about Governor Palin.
Governor Palin took a chance on me for no reason other than she believed in me, and I will never forget that. Whether you agree or disagree with her politics, her treatment by some in the media has been unfair, unnecessary, and extremely harmful to the national discourse.
Finally, although I am sure there will be repercussions, there is no amount of books sold worth selling out the people who stood next to you in the rain and offered you their umbrella.
