Why would they want to go to California? Costs ( utility, etc) are soooo much higher..

I live 35 miles from The Long Beach plant, and ordinarily I would agree with you. The thing that makes this locale look viable is the fact that Boeing can not afford to have a serious delay in production. Long Beach is an existing plant, with a trained workforce, and a nearby port, for importing all the components manufactured off shore. I can see where they’d absorb the extra costs here, in order to get production ramped up in relatively short order. Thanks.
