My current approach — I’m writing songs that I am trying to get some attention for in Nashville. Country is a very good vehicle for gospel truths. But gospel also works in rock and blues contexts. Again the message is: Heaven is underrated. If people better realized the presence of the touch of heaven in the world, we would get a virtuous circle of increasing wonder and thankfulness, and God and man would approach closer.

That’s sort of my point. What kind of “sexual assault” are wee talking here? I’m all for prosecuting the sh!t out of law enforcement that overstep their bounds but I’m also for reigning in unreasonable litigation. Do we have a trip-and-fall going Crazy Ivan here?

Long gone are the days when the NPS ranger was sort of a Andy of Mayberry sort on a horse, carrying a chainsaw and politely answering questions and taking care of the place.
Our dearly beloved Prez Bush made them Federal Cops, they go through FLETC just like other fed cops and when other federal police divisions need assistance they are sent TDY to that area as backup.
IMO they are not professional cops though, a professional cop outfit has a LEO chain of command with some politician near or at the top. NPS cops have a supervisor, then report to the Superintendent who is a green nut job. Also a NPS cop is not screened for psychological defects like a FBI guy would be or expected to have a degree related to being a LEO.

Police Chiefs don’t talk like that very often. Usually it’s “Officers fully followed established procedures”.
I can understand it, sort of, but I figure that if (figuratively) Satan is going to show up, Satan will do it himself. I don’t have any obligation to holler for the devil and it only will be courting grief if I do.
