Now that the Big Lie has been exposed for everyone to see, its going to take some time for it to sufficiently sink in. I imagine most low-information voters who dont follow politics regularly -- the obvious exception being people whove already been negatively impacted by the Affordable Care Act -- arent too familiar with the presidents now-broken if you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan pledge. That will all change soon enough.
Now, of course, when Americans head to the grocery store -- or perhaps to their local pharmacy -- this cover will be staring them blankly in the face as they wait in the check-out line. Oof:
ICYMI, @nancygibbs and @katepickert have compelling stories in this week's Obamacare issue http://t.co/sC95wXCb8M pic.twitter.com/ItU49PpowV TIME.com (@TIME) November 21, 2013
I saw the cover. They’ve reduced a “Lie” to a “Broken Promise.” They’re still doing their best to cover for their guy.
When I used to work for lefties many had subscriptions of Time and Newsweek as well as the print version of the NYT to read at coffee time. Their TV talk was what was on last night on PBS.
Nice gesture to what Obamacare means, but the total impact will me muted. Not many folks read the print version of Time, when you can find one, not buried in Weekly World Aliens talking to the Clintons or Laura Bush. Ten years ago, this would have been a much bigger deal. Either way, for every baby step they make to the ‘right’ solution, Time will double down and make twelve giant steps to the Progressive Left. In other words; Nuttin’s Changed!
Yep
And underneath that in nice tiny letters...
Cant forget about the little people
Is there still a print version of TIME? Really?
At my local supermarkets it’s all Cosmo and tabloids around the checkout. If there is a TIME it’s on the bottom rack stuck behind a fitness magazine.
Liberals still read "Time"... this might be the first time they've heard about Obama lying...
Oh rats.
I actually intended to pick one of these up. But forgot.
Oh well. Time you lost the sale, because I’m just not in the habit of finding your magazine to begin with.
Do low info voters buy Time magazine or even care what’s in it? I think a bigger barometer will be the comedy shows (SNL, John Stewart, Colbert, etc).
“I have a thought for countering the government mime about the Republican war on women,”
The hypocrisy of these people is amazing. They kill unborn women by the 100,000s and think nothing of it.
TIME is still in print, but when you pick it up, it feels like about 10 pages!
Chipmunks are cute and harmless. Hillary is ugly and mean spirited.
