Police Unsure if Random Attacks Are Rising Threat or Urban Myth
New York Times ^ | Nov 22, 2013 | Cara Buckley

Fear swept through Borough Park, Brooklyn, as soon as the news got out: A young man was randomly assaulted by strangers early Friday morning, and the attack was possibly part of the so-called Knockout Game.

Four men were arrested, but on Friday night only one was charged and the others were released.

The attack added to a growing log of reports of such crimes in the Northeast and beyond. Young assailants were randomly picking unlucky targets and trying to knock them out with just one punch.

Yet police officials in several cities where such attacks have been reported said that the “game” amounted to little more than an urban myth, and that the attacks in question might be nothing more than the sort of random assaults that have always occurred.

Police-- said that the “game” amounted to little more than an urban myth, and that the attacks in question might be nothing more than the sort of random assaults that have always occurred.

If you look closely, they just made a heck of an admission.

This started emerging in the 1970s as black pride/racial superiority against an inferior but evil, and powerful race, was being taught both formally in schools and universities, and culturally, even on TV and in movies, and music.

nothing more than the sort of random assaults that have always occurred.

Nothing to fear, it's perfectly normal behavior from feral Black youths.
He might just add that killing a few of them is perfectly normal behavior too.

Black Knockout Games on whites little more than an urban myth, and that the attacks in question might be nothing more than the sort of random assaults that have always occurred.

2001 Seattle Mardi Gras was just the crowd acting up with some violence by black men who "had criminal records and were believed to be affiliated with gangs". The usual for events like that.

How history gets rewritten. wiki graffiti, MSM employees, the whole damn lot of the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue.

wiki article today.. polite mention of race almost with a dismissive shrug.

2001 Seattle Mardi Gras

What really happened.

This is why it is wiki graffiti and the New York Times is.. well, the New York Times:

from the WaybackMachine

This shows a spike in edits before the 2012 elections. There were the original posting plus one change followed by a series of changes that were all during Obama Nation; the last one as of this AM was: "This page was last modified on 24 September 2013 at 19:33. "

Here is the original posting thanks to WaybackMachine. I added HTML code to enhance readability.

On February_27, 2001, during Seattle's Mardi_Gras celebration, a riot broke out in the Pioneer_Square area of the city. The chief of police ordered the police at the scene not to intervene, supposedly because he feared escalation of the violence.

The Seattle police force later voted a resolution of "no confidence" in him. Several of the perpetrators admitted to racial motivation in their attacks and the Seattle Police recommended they be charged with hate crimes.

However, none of the perpetrators were charged by the prosecutors with hate crimes, which if convicted, would have increased their jail sentences.

Under interrogation, Khalid Adams stated that he "most likely" kicked a white man on the ground because of his race and that he believed a race war was in progress.

http://www.metrokc.gov/proatty/news/2001/Adamspr.htm As reported by ''Stranger'' :''This was a race riot...the kind of race riot Seattle produced was different, scarier in two ways: (1) blacks exploded not in their own neighborhood, but in a white, commercial district; (2) their rage was directed not at the police, but at white civilians.''

The Seattle establishment and media at first tried to deny the nature of the attacks, but too much video footage was out to cover up.

Seattle created a task force to investigate the cause of the Mardi Gras riots. Initially task force meetings were closed to the public, but protest forced the city to open them. Under pressure from the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, the city forbade any discussion among task force members of what role race may have had in the riots.

By the time the disorder was over, one man (Kris Kime) was dead, and more than 70 others injured.

On the day after the Mardi Gras riots ended, Seattle had a magnitude 6.8 earthquake, the worst in 37 years. The scale of the Nisqually Earthquake caused people to refocus their attention on earthquake recovery and away from the violence of the riots.

My emphasis.

There were general acts of disorder mixed in but the real damage was racial it seems clear to me.

I followed the event closely as did talk shows around the country, the MSM employees ignored it of course. I recall that one of the few arrested that night was an Asian man who had a gun that he used to protect himself from being beaten to death.

The story occupied a lot of talk radio around the country for weeks, not days, as the shenanigans of the city government and media attempted to coverup what happened. The policemen who confronted Kerlikowske, et al are heroes and helped tell the real story.

Years later I said that wiki had a good accounting here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Mardi_Gras_Riots. At the time I noted that Wiki reported: This page was last modified on 12 February 2009, at 23:46. Since then the "markers" I think they are called went to work.(Or wiki staff?)

Local government and media tried to -- no other term for it -- cover up the black-on-white wanton violence. Mr. Kime rush to the defense of a white girl being beaten and was beaten to death. Initially newspapers reported that Mr. Kime "slipped and hit his head."

Seattle police force voted a resolution of "no confidence" in Chief Kerlikowske.

The last newspaper article I read about the riots was a kind of "celebration" for the death of Mr. Kime as a Seattle paper reported on the happiness his body parts brought to others.

By virtually excusing the crimes with a dismissive shrug it seemed to me, the Nytimese are covering up, giving a green light to the criminals, and should be sued under the doctrine of vicarious liability.

But hurry! while they still got a few dollars to make it worth the effort!

If the Times is even getting around to mentioning this “Urban Myth”, means to me, that the problem is starting to get out of hand and they feel they MUST as least mention it.

And yeah, I love the “young assailants” semantic tap-dancing.
