Her definition of "children" is bogus. Here are FBI data on age, race and sex of murder victims for the year 2012. Of interest, 2,848 people under the age of 22 were murdered. That approximates 8 per day. 1,101 people under the age of 18 were murdered; that approximates 3 per day, a much less sensational number. Finally, 892 people under the age of 16 were murdered; this approximates 2 per day.

If you have a different definition of "children" the linked table has data which will help to determine the number of children (by your definition) who were murdered.

I agree. However I was only commenting that her numbers show nothing of statistical significance, even at the 8 per day.

Even on a yearly basis the % of population is .19X10^-6%. That is meaningless. More children, even by her definition, succumb to other ills (e.g., cancer) than that.
