Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio hasnt named any key figures in his administration yet but hes got plenty of new advisers.
On Wednesday, de Blasio announced a transition committee that includes a staggering 60 members a number of whom were prominent campaign donors and supporters. The list includes Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon; former Clinton White House Deputy Chief of Staff Harold Ickes; Bertha Lewis of the old ACORN grass-roots organization; and Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, partner of American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten.
It is a group of people who share a progressive vision for the future of the city, who are known in their fields of endeavor as being effective and strong leaders, and who share a clear commitment to diversity in leadership for the future of the city, said de Blasio, who announced the committee at a transition-ideas center in lower Manhattan.

Detroit is potentially on a rebound and will be a shinning city on a the hill in a few years when these Utopian Socialist enacted their schemes, plans, and programs in NY, I expect it to decline that rapidly. Not investment advice, but anyway to "Short" real-estate in that market?
They have money to burn!
Cynthia Nixon;...Bertha Lewis of the old ACORN grass-roots organization; and Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, partner of American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten.Nixon, "married" to a bulldyke and they somehow have a couple of young kids, homosexuals in the making...SICK!
"Rabbi" (lesbian females can be Rabbis???)Sharon Kleinbaum, another dyke living with another woman as if they are a legitimate couple.
So they have got the Hollywood homosexual community hooked up, the Jewish lesbian community, and the teachers union.
Hmmmm, yep looks like they do have money to burn.
And gee, do ya think ACORN got them some thousands of illegal fraudulent votes?
ACORN was exposed and disgraced years ago, and their funding pulled. So now they can brag they are helped by them?
Voter fraud, money laundering, what won't they do to push their leftist agenda?
60 people bought themselves cushy high paying positions in the corrupt administration in NY. Disgusting.
Oh and ACORN grass-roots? What an outright lie, it's a group that Obama started to manufacture votes and that (voter fraud) is why he was elected twice to the highest office in the land.
They obviously don’t care how ridiculous they look together out on the street. Maybe no one ever tells them? In New York City they pass for no big deal I suppose
I think you’re right...they are very, very confused people.
Cynthia Nixon is a fellow traveler with De Blasio’s wife.
Likewise, Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum who was married ( she has two children ) but is now in a relationship with Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers ( one of our largest labor union).
De Blasio’s transition team also includes Arnold Lehman, the director of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Mr. Lehmans museum held a 1999 exhibition called Sensation, which controversially featured a painting of the Virgin Mary surrounded by elephant dung and pornographic pictures.
Notice, Catholics make up 52.5 percent of New York, yet they have no clergy representation.
RE: NYC is about to get it. Good and hard.
Less than 22% pf New York City residents went to vote on that fateful November day when De Blasio was elected.
People just did not care who’s elected mayor. They will rue the day they stayed indifferent.
You might not be interested in government, but government is interested in you.
” But the one who gave birth is the one who resembles the man????”
Yes. They are more than a little confused, IMO.
De Blasio gets policing advice from ex-cons
Forget Ray Kelly, Bill de Blasio is getting his policing advice from the real experts hardened criminals.
A group of 50 ex-cons, junkies and chronic vagrants gathered at a Manhattan Think Tank Thursday to describe what they thought the NYPD should be doing to make their lives easier.
The felonious forum outlined a clear get-soft-on-crime vision.
A day before the convicts talked policy uptown, De Blasio toured Talking Transitions SoHo headquarters.
The group says it is an open conversation about the future of New York City to help shape the transition to a new mayor.
De Blasio didnt appear at the event, but he will be brought up to speed by reps from the organization, who partnered with the The Fortune Society, which helps prisoners transition into the real world after release.

Watching NYC implode is like watching the Dallas Cowboys NFL season. It’s fun to watch the inevitable Fail develop. In another year, De Blasio will be saying “I am not changing quarterbacks”.
