A mutiny has erupted among photographers who cover President Obama over what they say is the White Houses increasing practice of excluding them from events involving the president and then releasing its own photos or video.
On Thursday, the White House Correspondents Association and 37 news organizations submitted a letter to the press secretary, Jay Carney, protesting what photographers said amounted to the establishment of the White Houses own Soviet-style news service, which gets privileged access to Mr. Obama at the expense of journalists who cover the president.
As surely as if they were placing a hand over a journalists camera lens, the three-page letter said, officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the executive branch of government.

The White House defended its policy, arguing it is not logistically feasible to give photographers access to every event. The deputy spokesman, Josh Earnest, said, Weve taken advantage of new technology to give the American public even greater access to behind-the-scenes footage or photographs of the president doing his job.
I understand why that is a source of some consternation to the people in this room, Mr. Earnest said during the daily White House briefing. But to the American public, that is a clear win.
Obama Lie of the Day
who cares?
I understand why that is a source of some consternation to the people in this room, Mr. Earnest said during the daily White House briefing. But to the American public, that is a clear win.
Why is it that every time this administration talks about
a “win” for the American people, my butt hurts?
Maybe Obama’s smoking again and they don’t want his image tarnished or perhaps Michelle has thrown an ashtray at him.
If you didn’t care why read the article or bother to post?
Obama’s handlers are afraid the photogs will catch him at “awkward” moments .... too high or too low, thus every pic is staged.
* Mr. Earnest said during the daily White House briefing. But to the American public, that is a clear win.*
“Comrade Earnest, don’t forgetting to pass out some anti-Fox bummper stickers to low information voters”
From the Obama White House comes Obamaspeak:
“that is a clear win”
Translation:
“that is going to hurt you a lot more than it is going to hurt me”
The important part for all Americans is that Obama is committed to lying to them at least once a day. The above statement satisfies that requirement and we will keep lying 365/24/7. It’s for your own good.
They want to control how Obama appears in photos. They want to avoid the embarrassing pics used by columnists against Republicans.
Like with a cig dangling from his mouth?
Caliph Baraq is just trying to help out his MSM supporters.
He understands the media is on a long slow fade and faces financial problems.
They can eliminate a bunch of expensive private sector photogs and camera people and technicians, and use the taxpayer funded official media offered.
The spider leg pad on the desk with him pointing a “macho” shooting finger is my favorite posed shot of the One.
I suspect that all those Putin shirtless photos are a snub at Obama. In basketball he’s always shirts. I suspect his concave chest would prove Obama has no heart.
Watching House Oversight hearings and seeing oodles of photographers gather around this or that subject makes me want to puke. We don’t need 50 dumbass photographers to get a picture of someone testifying. Good grief. 3 good photographers ought to be enough for any event taking place in D.C. These news people have big egos, though, so they are all in to get the best shots while swimming in each others fetid slobber over Zero.
The free press does not take enough pictures of the 0ne with a halo.
Is he facing east in that photo?
These presstitutes are pathetic. The kenyan treats them like dirt but they still can’t stop themselves from lining up to give him a nooner BJ.
THAT and he doesn't want other people owning photos of his presidency at key functions that he does not own copyright to.
Bands are doing the same thing now, limiting who can take photos (generally a hired staffer instead of a freelance or syndicated photographer) to limit who can sell them for the next quarter century.
I’d like to see a photo of that, plus I’m for full employment!
To the White Hut press corps I say:
You got what you wanted. Now go f*** yourselves.
Americans.
