A new and independent analysis of ObamaCare warns of a ticking time bomb, predicting a second wave of 50 million to 100 million insurance policy cancellations next fall -- right before the mid-term elections.
The next round of cancellations and premium hikes is expected to hit employees, particularly of small businesses. While the administration has tried to downplay the cancellation notices hitting policyholders on the individual market by noting they represent a relatively small fraction of the population, the swath of people who will be affected by the shake-up in employer-sponsored coverage will be much broader.
An analysis by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, shows the administration anticipates half to two-thirds of small businesses would have policies canceled or be compelled to send workers onto the ObamaCare exchanges. They predict up to 100 million small and large business policies could be cancelled next year.

Let the dems own every piece of it. . .too include all the mud that will fly when elections come around and the republicans can say they tried early on to warn people but no one listened, so, in accordance with democRATS demands, and after all, according to dems, it was “settled law,” they let the dems own every single fault and failure.
With the republicans not providing any cover or an appearance of sharing blame (you share blame when you become involved in trying to “fix” something that should not be there in the first place), the dems are the ones to blame.
That is why the dems are trying desperately to get republicans to come on-board to try and help fix it, they know voter anger will eviscerate anyone associated with this debacle and they want to republicans facing the same firing squad they are.
“If you like your rat congressional seat, you won’t be keeping it.”
Getting republicans to agree on what color the sky is ...is like herding cats.
McCain would muddle the message with some senile prounouncment how we’ll be in the sky for 100 years.
How long before the Dems propose taking Obamacare premiums out of the peoples PAYCHECKS, like they started doing shortly after implementing the income tax? You know it is coming!
Where is the speaker of the house? Hiding in a dark room reading his NSA file by candlelight.
I believe this is what most small and midsized companies will do.
They have to keep their eye on their bottom line.
They are not in business for their health (or their employees’ health.)
Don’t give them any ideas!
Soon we will be like France, where 48% of every paycheck goes to the government.
The “renewals” have already begun. My employer has changed our plan from the old hmo/ppo with a copay for the regular DR visit to a 80/20 after a $2500 individual deductible. I can only imagine what the plan will (if it exists) will look like when we get our 2015 “renewals”. BTW this will result in a scenario much like...
ER visit for broken whatever. The admissions clerk will say something along the line of, oh I see you have $2500 deductible how will you be taking care of that. Next day you go for a followup visit and the front desk clerk says, oh I see you have a $2500 deductible how will you taking care of that. You have to go get X-rays and the front desk clerk says oh you have $2500 deductible how will you be taking care of that...and so on .
The point is that because of the coding and billing standards you will required to satisfy your deductible before you get any service. Not like it was in 2013 when it would be submitted to you carrier and then balance billed to you.
I guess you meant “piqued”, no?
Then they have to keep postponing it again and again and again, because there is ALWAYS another election coming up.
Don’t ever underestimate the Dems ability to make lemonade out of a bad situation, With the aid of the MSM, they will make the Reps the villain, i.e., they will not help the Dems correct some of the glitches with Obamacare.
