Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush predicted Monday night Congress would pass a series of immigration bills next year and touted his conservative credentials as he talked about his thought process on a potential 2016 presidential bid.
In a wide-ranging, onstage interview at the 92nd Street Y in New York City, Bush said he didn't necessarily agree with his mother, who joked there have been "enough Bushes" in the White House.
The Spanish-speaking former governor also took a slight dig at another potential 2016 contender, Sen. Ted Cruz, for his Spanish language skills.
'I'm a conservative'
At one point in the discussion, moderated by Fordham law professor Thane Rosenbaum, Bush was asked whether the tea party could coexist with moderates like himself and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Feigning shock that he was called a moderate, Bush argued that his style may be different but he's still a conservative at heart....

“severely compassionate conservative”

to explain what scale he is using.
I could be the Walrus, I’d still have to bum rides off of people.
Compared to who?
BO? Likely. Hillary? The jury is still out.
No Jeb, you are not a conservative.
That’s my thinking as well. Lots of RINOs to tear each other apart and a couple of good conservatives for us to put our weight behind.
I’d like to see conservative candidates run a different kind of race. They should agree to compete honestly but one should step aside at a certain agreed upon point and throw their weight behind the other conservative. Maybe even an open agreement to pick the other for VP or a cabinet post.
No Jeb! Not just no, HELL NO!
Jeb Bush pushes Common Core and Amnesty. He wants the “el heffe” society. He is anything but conservative.
Ferris.
John Hughes was great.
Jed buddy, don’t care. Call yourself a alien from the tenth planet, it is all the same to me and just as likely.
Oh look! I have sparkly unicorns flying out my butt.
Jeb’s no conservative and can go to hell!
Inability to recognize the Enemy.
The Bush Family is probably the most politically tone deaf family in politics...ever.
“Oh look! I have sparkly unicorns flying out my butt. “
Are they dropping Skittles?
Or is it Paxil now?
Yeah, right! I'm Antonio Gramsci!
If Cruz runs, I hope we can get behind him early; if he doesn't, I hope someone else can pick up the mantle, rally the base (us) while the pack of RINO's keep running, hoping the media will win each one of them the nomination.
Would be nice to see the RINOs all tear each other apart, for once.
