Washington DC talk show host Chris Plante reported today that Barack Obama omitted the words "under God" from the Gettysburg Address when reciting the great speech for a Ken Burns documentary.

Burns had filmed all living presidents as well as various Hollywood personalities and luminaries to pay homage to the speech which was delivered by Abraham Lincoln 150 years ago, today.

Plante broke the story on Washington DC talk radio station WMAL on his mid-morning program, "The Chris Plante Show."

Don’t count on Obama shying away from public speaking. He gave an interview to the liberals in residence at the WSJ. It was carried live. He was late as usual, so lost a lot of the potential audience. it was all softball questions and very boring.

Didn't say that. I did say that there are mountains of evidence that he did say it, specifically referring to what Garry Wills' book says on the matter.

My point was that in the absence of audio and video of the event (I'm looking for a fusion-powered DeLorean - has anyone seen a fusion-powered DeLorean?), it can and probably will be argued that there's no real official and verifiable record of the actual speech. From my perspective tho the Bliss Copy - signed and dated by Lincoln - is good enough.

I find it interesting that Osama/Obama , had announced long ago, when he first started handing out exemptions to this group and that, and to a favorite Union which had favorably supported him during Presidential elections, and there was an article that I ran across that made me very disgusted, about like I felt when Congress saddled us with the awful so called “Health Care” bill, then on the sly,exempted themselves.....the article said that of course no Muslim would have to sign up for the Health Care bill, as it violated their beliefs. I haven't seen this referred to again. Did I just dream that or is it something that the lap dog press is deliberately keeping quiet?
