From what I heard of this, he was REALLY upset that Palin pointed out the slavery of indebtedness of the nation.

To Bashir the horror of slavery has more to do with having bad things done to you, and much, much less to do with a person’s freedom as an individual. He doesn’t seem to mind slavery, so long as the slaves get treated right.
Imagine if he were a conservative and said that about a liberal. The media would have already strung him up (figuratively) and the liberal looneys would be looking to do the same literally, whether he apologized or not.
Liberals have no brains, no class and no restraints. They are a plague upon this nation and the world.

Actually his apology seemed (seemed) sincere and complete.
I am not in favor of hiring leftwing liberal Brits as American journalists.

What he did was to recount the most egregious form of slavery in order to diminish the truth that socialism and spending our nation into perpetual indebtedness is enslaving our children.

I have cut off all ties with Liberals exactly because they have NO redeeming qualities what-so-ever. It is completely pointless to try to reason with people that refuse to be reasoned with.
He only said what all Commies think. If Chuck Todd were at the Rainbow Room at 2 a.m. among friends and martinis, he’d say the same thing. And probably has. Numerous times.
