US Envoy Caroline Kennedy Meets Japan's Emperor

TOKYO November 19, 2013

New U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy traveled by horse-drawn carriage into the Imperial Palace to present her credentials to Japan's emperor on Tuesday, giving the public a rare look at a diplomatic tradition.

Thousands of onlookers lined the avenues near the moat-ringed palace to snap pictures and wave as Kennedy, the 55-year-old daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy, waved back from inside the carriage.

Obama finally came through and gave her a job with a nice title. She could have gotten MA Senator seat, but flopped at her job interview if I recall correctly.

Her speaking skills are frighteningly inadequate. Shadenfruede. She’s actively pro abortion and still claims to be Catholic, which is a scandal

Even worse .... listening to the "hearings" last week with Sebelius, I couldn't miss how many responses began with "So"

"Can you tell us WHY the site didn't work?"

"So, the reason ... (etc.) .. "

And it was more than just one person.

It seems "like" has been replaced by "so"

Old Akihito may have to put up with Caroline’s chatter, which is mostly made up of one phrase, “you knaww.”

Her only qualification being a name she inherited from her father, and a propensity to kiss the right ass.

She may know “domo origato mr. roboto”. She should use that every chance she gets. But, hey. If john f’n heinz-kerry(VN war hero?!) is good enough to be secstate, who can argue with careoline being an ambassador? It’s not like ambassadors are ever in danger. Hmmm. Except maybe places like Benghazi.

You know she is the "You Know" girl, don't you know?

Caroline Kennedy Repeats "You Know" 142 Times In Interview

December 2008

Caroline Kennedy's campaign to claim Hillary Clinton's Senate seat has taken another downturn after an interview in which she said "you know" 142 times.

Explaining why she would be a good Senator, she said: "So I think in many ways, you know, we want to have all kinds of different voices, you know, representing us, and I think what I bring to it is, you know, my experience as a mother, as a woman, as a lawyer, you know, I've been an education activist for the last six years here, and, you know, I've written seven books – two on the Constitution, two on American politics. "So obviously, you know, we have different strengths and weaknesses."

I would really be nice if for important countries we selected ambassadors with some qualifications. Caroline has only a family connection, as the daughter of a weak, sickly, short-term president.

So, what do we have? Communists and socialists running the country, and thinking that the role of the state is paramount is all life; and yet they appoint third rate staff at all levels. In this case, they select based on political position and lineage. Rather aristocratic, except that aristocracies often consciously tried to select for quality. At least, that was the idea.

I suspect that they are giving Caroline a résumé, so that she can run for the Senate, probably from New York or some New England state.

The way I see it, she ought to hire a speech therapist first.

After she takes speech therapy, you know.

Hope Caroline knows how to bow like a woman in Japan. It’s different from the way men do it.

The Japanese tabloids are probably going to have a field day with the new Madame Ambassadress.

The really bad part is that she has probably had speech therapy since she was four or five and is doing the best she can, even after all that therapy.

The defect can’t be fixed

But...what is the Japanese word for Duh!; the only word in her single word single syllabic vocabulary? Her translator must be scrambling.

Are you saying that she has a congenital speech deficit of some kind?
