APOPKA, Fla. (AP) George Zimmerman was charged with assault Monday after his girlfriend called deputies to the home where they were living and claimed he pointed a shotgun at her during an argument, authorities said.
The girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, called 911 in the early afternoon to say that Zimmerman had smashed a glass table, threatened her with the shotgun and ultimately pushed her out of the house, according to an arrest report. After pushing her out, Zimmerman barricaded the door with furniture and refused to leave, saying that he would talk to police by phone, authorities said.

She doesn’t count as a witness? Her testimony doesn’t count as evidence?
Of course she does. However, her credibility can also be challenged.
She says, he says... what are you going to do?
They can both, or either, press charges and take it before a judge but he just hasn’t anything to work with.
I gotta say, I find plenty of ways to stay out trouble. I find it pretty easy to stay out of trouble actually. Don’t hang with questionable broads. Don’t get into physical confronts with others. Just don’t. Don’t find it necessary.
Why does this guy find it so hard to stay out of trouble? You can’t make a “victim” out of the guy into perpetuity. He is allowing himself to continue to be put in positions that are compromising.
Why?
Of course her credibility can be questioned. Nothing has come out so far to undermine her credibility, but it’s very early.
If the Martin-Zimmerman case has taught us anything, it is that we should not jump to conclusions based on initial reports. That means we shouldn’t condemn Zimmerman yet, of course. But it also means we shouldn’t jump to his defense and say things like ‘there’s no evidence, the charges should be dropped’ when we don’t have any idea of what really happened.
I’ll bet Gloria Alred has spoken to her. What chick (I’m talking as a gal) would want to hook up with a guy that has a target on his back placed by the MSM, Barry, Justice Brothers, DOJ, New Panther Party etc? A gal that wants attention and her 15 minutes of fame and possibly Penthouse magazine?
So any time there is an altercation between 2 people, there can be no charges? Nonsense. And, it’s way too early to reach any conclusions here. There are reports of damage in the house, for instance, so there may well be physical evidence of some sort, whatever happened.
ah...the keltec jam-o-matic 2000. They can’t even provide a sample to gun media that isn’t a total piece of junk
Zimmerman was justified in what he did; that doesn’t change the fact that he was already somewhat of a loose cannon, and has just gotten a lot worse because of the trial, which must have taken a huge toll on him.
He seems like a good, hard-working guy, but he’s also a democrat who voted for Obama. I’ll be happy when we stop talking about him.
Didn't she file a false report similar to this one just months ago? Isn't she involved in a divorce from him? Didn't she get charged with lying to the court? Hasn't she been cashing in with the MSM (interviews, etc.) by bashing George?
I certainly question her credibility.
I read the story and it sounds like 95% bs. Apparently she lit’d to him that she’s pregnant? She felt threatened because he put her outside and locked himself inside? Note that initially he was trying to leave. If I’m certain of anything it’s that he didn’t point a gun at her. Again, she was outside and he would not let her in.
The stripper gene is strong with this one.
That was his soon-to-be-ex wife. This is his new girlfriend. Different people.
Welp, this is not looking good for George.
If true ... how stupid is this guy?
George was at the Keltec factory not too long ago, at their invitation, arranged by his lawyer I believe.
I wonder if he bought this Keltec shotgun, pictured above. Holds 12 shells, near Saiga capacity, but no magazine.
I imagine he might have just held it up to look it over, as any of us here might have done, but this gal saw a book deal and TV appearances. Poor judgment on his part, maybe, getting tied up with her: no male here has ever done anything stupid with women, I’m sure.
Or maybe he was in fact brandishing it and scared her. From the looks of her, she’s easily replaced, may have known it and maybe wouldn’t leave. Too bad for George though. He’s had enough grief in one lifetime for a young guy from malicious prosecution.
Not reliable huh? That’s too bad, sorry to hear it. Is it really that bad? You know someone who bought one?
Wondered why I hadn’t read any reviews. Too pricey anyway at close to a grand. I’ll stick with my Mossburg, maybe look at Saigas.
I don’t know the facts of what happened here, of course, but what I do know is that it’s hard to stay out of “trouble” when people pick trouble with you.
It’s not fair to say just don’t get into physical (or other) confrontations as some kind of general rule. It just isn’t that simple in some cases. If someone attacks you, you have two choices: allow the attack or fight back.
If there’s one phrase I hate (and you did not use it, but for the sake of my point), it is “it takes two to tango.” No it does not. Innocent people get attacked and undermined all the time.
Unfortunately for George Zimmerman, he is a walking target and money-making opportunity for people of ill will.
Sadly agree.
