George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
He said more information would be available shortly.
WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.
The Sheriff's Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.

Hope he didn’t pull a gun on this girlfriend because if he did, they will put him under the jail. Wonder if his attorney for the trial will get him out of jail? This is such a mess.

His otherwise meritorious lawsuit against the State of Florida should be dismissed on the grounds of stupidity.
I confess that I wonder what kind of woman would want to be his girlfriend, considering the probable publicity that will result, sooner or later.

Yes, he was stopped south of Dallas and warned about speeding.
Just read the account a Freeper put up and it says this:
“WFTV reported that the latest incident allegedly involved a gun.”
If the gun charge is true, and the girl is pregnant making it a felony, and he is now charged with a felony, Z will spend years in prison. I think he just sunk himself.

Hate to say it but that maybe the best place for him and society as a whole.

his wife just file for divorce about a month or so ago I think.
Most of the times these days the accuser gives as good as they get. I’ve known of several people who have been arrested for domestic violence because they dared to restrain someone trying to hit them.
It wasn’t his wife. He was arrested for getting physical with his girlfriend after she told him she was pregnant.

That is correct but it was also a prior altercation with his ex-wife that got him involved with the law.......
Name change and new location first and formost. He is a marked man in Florida and Im sure thier are groups keeping an eye on him ready to pounce
I don’t know if this was a setup or not. If not, what is his problem and why can’t he just keep a low profile?
And since no charges were filed in that case, I’m not counting that. He was arrested today for a seperate incident. Guy has anger issues. I hope he gets help before he hurts someone.
Here’s a regular guy, a good guy trying to protect his neighborhood and he’s being broken into little pieces by the entire weight of government. When I talk to libs they use Zimmerman’s crack up as a rationale, stating he was guilty and he knows it. What a horror.
