I post this article to demonstrate how "conservative" politicians try to fool the people with their "lifetime" conservative ratings. They use their conservative votes from years ago to cover their votes now.

This is the first sentence of this article: "Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has an 89.12 lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union"

This is Senator Lindsey Graham's CURRENT vote ratings from the four major conservative ratings agencies and his average (67% not 89%):

Graham (SC) - 06/10/14 - 67% (Average) - 47% (Heritage) - 86% (CFG) - 92% (ACU) - 41% (FreedomWorks)

This is Graham's rating average without the ACU (58% not 89%):

For this reason, on a weekly basis I post every republican senator's conservative ratings and averages: to demonstrate how they attempt to fool us with this "lifetime rating" nonsense! It's outright fraud and chicanery!

When a candidate for office bamboozles me as Graham did when he first ran for the Senate from S.C., it is very, very difficult to restore my confidence in him. He may be in touch with polls showing his decline in approval in S.C. but he is still out of touch with the voters he will need to be re-elected beginning with the June 10, 2014 Repub primary.

The Primary filing deadline is March 30, 2014. It will be interesting to see
which opponents begin to get some traction and financial support as that
deadline approaches. I don’t know about SC but usually it takes statewide
recognition and good financial backing to defeat an incumbent.
