This is why we only get cars with out a lot of electronics in them like that. [NO new cars for us]

some Wiki humor:

In May 2010, a Parisian woman called Zoe Renault commenced legal action to try and force Renault to re-think their choice of name amid claims it would lead to mocking jibes. In November 2010, a French judge ruled that Renault could use the name.

I think similar devices have already been installed in cars. It makes your car break down immediately after your final payment.

Wait until Zoe goes into shutdown mode while traveling 70mph down the highway, or while transitioning the “hood”, or trying to get Momma to the ER after her water bursts, or while a husband is parked outside the girlfriend’s house...

Gonna be some lawsuits, I bet.

That is kinda interesting. However, maybe having it shut down after the key is taken out of the ignition might be a better way to handle this. I love this idea. I am sick and tired of people trying to get things for free. You signed the contract to purchase the car by making payments for a certain period of time and you failed to do so, you should be punished by not have the car to use. The reason that cars are so expensive is because of free loaders who won’t make their payments and the banks have to get the money from these dregs on society from somewhere and that comes from those of us who either pay cash or sign a contract and make payments faithfully.

Ambitious people seek God like powers over others such as omnipresence followed by omnipotence but they have not the wisdom to weld any of it. It’s an old problem look at the history of mere people who declared themselves gods but in the end proved to be merely human.

Sounds like it would be an easy work around.

Former Detroit Lion and Former used car dealer Mel Farr (Superstar for a Farr better deal) used to do this on the $99 down, $99 a month specials. Except he didn’t tell people in advance. He got in some sort of legal trouble for that. I don’t remember the details
