While that is true, and I say the same thing. But I don't think it is relevant to this health insurance battle. Actions speak louder than words...ie No Republican supported it.
It is quite applicable however, to the actions taken by the GOP during the Bush administration, regarding expanding medical welfare and prescription coverage.
No Repub supported it directly, but Susan Collins voted to allow closure which indirectly allowed the funding. The Senators didn’t use every tool they had to stop it. They were at odds with the House this entire fall and allowed it to happen.
