Wisconsin City Sells Out of Palin Book After Visit (with video)
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | November 15, 2013 | Kevin Scholla

When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin went to Wausau, Wisconsin on Thursday, the whole city sold out of her new book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas. Palin held a book signing at the local Walmart, where a line snaked around the gigantic store (see video below) for the sold out book. Breitbart News has confirmed the town's Sam's Club and Barnes & Noble also sold out all their copies of her new book as well yesterday.

At Walmart, Palin greeted a multitude of well-wishers and signed book after book. Just like her Bethlehem, PA stop, she stayed late because of an abundance of supporters. She may have stayed later if not for one very relevant detail. According to a Walmart official, the store ran out of books.

Walmart wasn't alone. The entire town of Wausau was cleaned out. A Harper Collins source told Breitbart News that along with Walmart, Wausau's Sam's Club and Barnes & Noble had also sold all of their copies. The stores have confirmed that all their books were sold.

Among the many that showed up Thursday to greet Palin was Rachel Campos-Duffy, national spokesperson for The LIBRE Initiative and wife of Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), whom Palin endorsed early in 2010 in his upstart bid to unseat Democrat Rep. David Obey (D-WI).

Campos-Duffy found out quickly that Palin had seen her on TV that Thursday morning....

Well, maybe I should give it a chance. That is, driving to the signing. It was just in the back of my mind, making that long drive, and then having some crazy problem getting in. Generally never liked the idea of joining “clubs” at stores or otherwise.

Just be aware that you probably have to buy your book at one of those places to get it signed. Store rules(or likely any sams or costco.)That is the way it was at the booksigning for the last book. Had to have the receipt.

Indeed. I figured as much. It wouldn’t bother me. I’d just give my other copy away to a friend. But if I’m not a ‘member’ of the store-club, that’s where it might cause a little problem.

Call the store. Those places usually have some kind of one day pass. I know Sam’s club does

I tried to buy a copy of Charles Krauthamer’s new book “The Things That Matter” tonight at Barnes and Nobel and they were sold out. Of course they might have only ordered 2!

Plano is a 4.5 hour drive for me. I wish Sarah had a Houston area signing on her tour. I did donate to SarahPAC and am waiting for my signed copy — anxiously awaiting, I should say!

The Tyler signing would be the closest for me. And probably encompass driving through a bunch of two-lane East Texas roads at night. Which I’d do. But I also have a sick relative I’m taking care of. Not sure I could swing it, regardless. But I’m still toying with the notion, if the opportunity arises.

Sarah should run for President and promise her book to every vote for her.

Liberal bookstore owners don’t complain about the money they make off of selling books by Sarah Palin, do they?

Just maybe it is a nice night out to stand in line with other patriots and discuss politics. Remember people used to get together in the town square and now everyone hides in their house. I would of loved to stand in that line and shared an evening with like minded folks

As much as I love Sarah and wish she would be the president, I truly think that ship has sailed. I also believe she is and will be much more effective doing what she is now doing - she doesn’t have to watch what she says - and is free to endorse and help other candidates get elected. Maybe Ken C. from Virginia would have been wise to have her campaign for him. He didn’t want Cruz, so I guess he thought Sarah was political poison too. I don’t know, but I think she is following God’s will for her life - not ours.

Well we don’t know how this thing would play out.

I think we would be better off with a male conservative president and veep. Sarah would be OK, but she probably wouldn’t provide the optimal spiritual leverage. OK, call this male chauvinist. She’d be good in some other governmental role, or simply as a cabinet adviser to someone like Cruz.

Whatever happens, Sarah has helped _a lot_ of people get elected and has built up lots of credit that can be cashed in. Witness Ted Cruz standing up and saying he wouldn’t be where is he was but for her.

On a similar note, I was VERY pleased to see Rush’s new history book for kids on sale at Barnes & Noble on Thursday. It had it’s own PROMINENT shelf with all the other top sellers, none were turned around or damaged or any of the other stuff you tend to see with conservative authors in bookstores in Madistan and Milwaukeestan. :)

I bought a copy for my Dad for Christmas. He loves Rush.

And Sarah often says as much herself.

That being said, she'd make one heck of a Sec. of Energy in the Cruz administration, wouldn't you agree?
