Senate Democrats do not expect to vote on the ObamaCare fix the House approved on Friday with 39 Democratic votes, according to a senior Democratic aide.
The aide said there is not any pressure on the Senate Democratic leadership to bring the legislation sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) to the floor.
"There is a difference between constructive fixes designed to improve the law and bills that would gut it, said the senior Democratic aide. The Upton bill is the latter.

“That might be why Harry wouldnt allow it to be brought up - he didnt want to see who would defect.”
if you walk through this rationally, that can be his only reason.
Not so sure this is good. Of course the bail out is why the Ins. Company's bought in Obunga. Remove it, they are dead. Hello single payer, No ?
That will get the proper attention. Maybe have some grandchildren or loved ones asking the president to help their loved one live. I like it.
Now we know the rest of the sorry-assed story.
“with Obungacare”
No. They did not.
But now close to 40 Democrats are on record as backing the legislative fix. And more in the Senate want it as well. Bad news for Hairy Reid.
The House Republicans will get the best of both worlds. The Upton bill will not become law, but they get to say they tried to allow people to keep their insurance plans. As a bonus, the division among Democrats is highlighted.
He doesnt want the language of the statute changed. He just wants to be able to ignore what it says whatever it says.
” - - - ObamaCare is a tax - - - “
Yup. I call it the Obama Socialized Health Insurance Tax, or simply OSHIT.
When you think that this one man with his blatantly Unconstitutional manipulation turned upside down the lives of (today) 5MM people... probably destined to negatively affect half the US population...words come to mind that should not be posted here.
They are still going to be saying they are pro Obamacare.
Their GOP opponents can say "why did you vote for the mess in the first place"?
Many of them can say they didn't know and the GOP can say "why do you deserve to be voted in again when you're so clueless"?
It would not surprise me if Reid and Obama sign on to this crap bill, so the Republicans carry part of the blame, which will morph into all of the blame... &#&$@%
Actually his magnificance said he would veto it which was the signal to Weed, er Reid, to not bring it up for a vote. That would be something, his magnificance giving a speech saying he would reinstate the old policies while saying he would veto a law which would support it. What a POS this guy is.
This makes for a really nice pot shot at Harry Reid and Obama, but they need to keep their eye on the ball. No need to get bogged down in the specifics of something that won’t work anyway.
How naive. By March the Rancid Media will have convinced the country that Obamacare is the Republicans' fault.
Does anyone remember Clint Eastwood’s empty chair analogy?
It sure seems prescient now.
I did not know it would be an empty wheelchair.
However, although they accomplished zero for themselves, the Republicans have now helped House RATS in their RE-ELECTION campaigns.
Every RAT will say, “I voted to let you keep your plan. If you like your plan, you can keep it. I voted for that!”
Republicans get snookered again.
-— This is the best political outcome. ——
Looks that way to me, too.
For a bunch of progressives, they’re thoroughly reactive. And man, are they going to get reactive next October, when 50 million people get cancellation notices.
Anything that “guts”, defunds, destroys, repeals, eliminates ... 0bamacare is a good thing.
