A New Jersey waitress and former Marine says she was "offended" after a customer left an anti-gay note on a check in place of a tip because she is a lesbian.
Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J., said a family dining at the restaurant Wednesday night skipped the tip on their $93.55 bill and scribbled an explanation why.
"It says, 'I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life,'" Morales told ABC News station WABC-TV Thursday.

Y’know, obviously if this happened it was terrible. But I’m just a bit skeptical. Anymore it seems like certain folks will do anything to garner notoriety and sympathy for their cause, and lying is a legitimate means (in their eyes) to accomplish that.
Most restaurants don't give you the check until you've finished dining. The story at the link verifies the lezzie got the note after serving the dinner. I certainly agree with you, mistreating the waitstaff is really stoopid.

If I owned a restaurant, I’d institute a policy forbidding the use of cell phone cameras on the premises. There are good reasons besides these potentially fake stories.

Ms Morales posted a photo of the receipt on the gay-friendly Facebook page ‘Have a Gay Day’
“I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don’t agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you’re raising your kids but you didn’t see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again”.

I was basing it on what she said they said when she introduced herself.

If it’s true I’d say the couple was rude to boot. But I’d liked to have been at the next table.
I had a guy (?) applying for a job who showed up in a dress and then explained explicitly that he was a man living as a lesbian with a woman. I can't recall if he was a pre-op tranny, had already had it removed, or simply mentally ill.
Either way, I wasn't interested in him/it. The whole in-your-face thing is not cool. Mind your own business and most of the rest of the world will also.

They were rude, if the story is true (we don’t know. Sadly, neither you nor I were at the next table). It’s stoopid to mistreat somebody who could adulterate your food. It’s like having Jesse Jackson serving you soup.

I think I missed that one. The “raped” lesbian in Lincoln, NE, was a classic, though.
