Imperial Edicts worked for a while in England in the 1600s, and then some kings got a lot shorter real fast with the swing of the axe for doing what Obama is doing now.

By bypassing congress, Obama’s “I am the Law” BS is just that. It only exists in his head. He has no authority to do what he is trying to do and bypass Congress.

Autocratically cherry-picking which pieces of the law will not be enforced is simply illegal.

Good point.

There have been times in human history when people have deposed their rulers over fundamental breaches of the solemn trust that keeps them in power.

A people can endure a great deal of suffering and want, as long as they believe their rulers care about them and their country. When a ruler proves through word and deed that he holds the people and the nation in contempt, look out. The people will withdraw their allegiance from him and look for ways to bring him down.
