By postponing the cancellations until after the elections, he's taking all the pressure off the donks. Plus he's shifting the attention/pressure off of himself and onto the GOP and insurance companies. Most people won't understand that insurance companies can't renew cancelled policies at the snap of their fingers. So when the policies aren't renewed, people will switch their blame from The One to the companies. Looks like the Teflon Preezy may slip out of another one.

It’s a brilliant move by obbbama, whether we want to admit it or not. He’s thrown the entire fiasco right back into the insurance companies laps. If the companies don’t reinstate the policies, he can point his finger at them and say,,,”see what meanies they are!!!” And if the GOP criticizes what he is now doing, he can say,,,”see? they didn’t really care that you lost your policies!” Been doing some quick surfing, and libs are absolutely ecstatic about his speech, saying that he has pulled victory from the jaws of defeat.

He has just rewritten The Law of The Land by executive fiat.

Right. Like all these insurance companies are going to jump at the chance to re-offer the same insurance to their high risk clients. The fact is, these dumped patients with preexisting conditions will ONLY be able to get Obamacare now.

And that was the plan all along.

Obama’s administrative fix doesn’t help anything. He’s trying to put the genie back in the bottle which only creates a bigger mess. It’s purely a CYA move intended to buy time and shift blame to the insurance companies. It is too late for the insurance companies to reinstate the cancelled plans, and it does absolutely nothing to alleviate the adverse selection bias on the exchanges that will eventually causes Obamacare to collapse.

Unfortunately before that collapse occurs, the sad fact is that it is now clear that a humanitarian catastrophe is going to occur in January when millions of innocent people find themselves uninsured because of Obamacare, and will experience tremendous emotional and financial hardship as a result.

Maybe some DA in one of the states should attempt to prosecute an insurance company for extending someone’s plan (in violation of the ACA) because obama said they could. After all ACA is the law. If they use “obama said we could do it” as a defense the prosecutor can use the Constitution to destroy that defense.

Of that would only work if the Constitution mattered to democrats.

Obama will not allow a blanket delay. Is the reason why because it would
allow the Repubs to delay indefinitely because of it's Tax/Law status?

Boehner needs to take some drastic measures to stop this madness.
