Should the GOP go along with a partial fix that will help a handful of vulnerable Democrats save their seats and a few million Americans save their insurance –for one year?
Hard as it is for me to say given the peril of those Americans, I think the answer is no, unless the Republicans drive a very hard bargain, one that includes some very apparently unrelated items, items which are indeed connected to the terribly destructive way Harry Reid has run the Senate and the president has run the executive branch.
We need the president to stop his war on the economy as well as his war on healthcare. He has to stop the EPA from gutting the energy industry. He has to negotiate on the debt.
We need Harry Reid to stop destroying the Senate and to live by the very rules he and Pat Leahy wielded against Bush judicial nominees from 2003-2006.
We need immediate relief for the DOD from the absurd sequester caps even as domestic spending remains cabined.
Mostly though we need real Obamacare reform, and not just a delay of one year. I accept the president won’t accept repeal, but he ought to accept postponement until 2017 because the very basics of the system are so deeply flawed as to prevent rollout until then, and another presidential election will allow people to focus on the law and decide whether to proceed with eyes opened.
There are plenty of smart folks who could fix this mess –like Wellspring founder Denny Weinberg and Avik Roy and many others– but they need time and the state insurance commissioners need authority. Those sorts of provisions must be part of an Obamacare bailout bill.

People are angry. People are upset. People are hating the monstrosity known as Obamacare more and more every day.
Now is the time to push REPEAL, not delay. Squeeze the Democrats on this until they bleed.
If we had a real opposition party in this country, the GOP would be right back out there pushing repeal.

If the fix involves eliminating some of the mandates forever under the guise of ‘keeping your insurance’ it will kill the Obama care core: the exchanges.

Correct Answer! Let it go into effect. It was rammed through the House and Senate on a party line vote and also Harry Reid suspended normal Senate Rules to get it to pass in the Senate.
Let the public know every day this is a DEMONICRAT BILL and also promise to kill the act once we have a Veto proof majority in the Senate and House.
This will be painful for the voting public on a short term basis. The pain this bill can do if allowed to stand without revocation would be enormous and threatens the very foundation of our Republic. Please note, we are not a Democracy, we are a Democratic Republic. Pure Democracy always leads to a failed state, without exception.

The only acceptable repair of ObamaCare is complete repeal. Followed by an open, legal process to replace the nightmare program.
Republicans would be MORE popular if they try to repeal it.

The way to make this law, the Progressives and Obama fall to their political death is to enforce it! Nothing says “repeal” like enforcing a bad law. Ref: Prohibition
