This entire thread no one has mentioned that Fred Upton is a Republican.

So we have a bill that allows HHS to administratively pay the Insurance Pool’s looses without appropritive oversite. These looses will be massive due to a republican bill’s structure. The administrative control of healthcare still goes through and Republican’s save the Dem Congress from facing their mess.

How is this not the stupid saving the corrupt?

I guess it will depend on how this bill is viewed by the voters.
Will it be the Republicans saving the people or will it be bipartisan support for Obamacare with a few fixes.
Without the mandate Obamacare will not be self funded but what do the Dems care about that. They will just demand that the Republicans agree to higher taxes. The Dems need to own Obamacare as they do now.

Let's say the bill passes... WILL OBAMA SIGN IT? And if he does not, will there be enough votes in Congress to override his veto?

If nothing else, such an act would probably sink a number of Dems and further expose him as the lying POS charlatan he is. He might finally be backed into a corner that has some teeth. Then again - I do fantasize a lot these days as I try to answer my tag line...

That’s what I’m afraid of and let’s be honest - Americans seem to have very short memories. If this passes and Obama signs it - they will look like heroes. And the stupid Republicans will slap them on the back with “thataboys.”

If this is the narrative, it is much, much worse than we know or have been told. If democrats are leaning towards re-write of a law that has been their signature piece of legislation, they’re not far from repeal. If the republicans throw them a lifeline now, the democrats will turn around and try to hang them with it next year.
