Full Title: Policy keeping girls off boys' wrestling team prevents 'undesired contact of sensual body parts,' says Line Mountain High School
WILLIAMSPORT The prospect of co-ed wrestling presents dilemmas, such as how an adult male coach demonstrates techniques on a middle school-aged female, the Line Mountain School District claims.
That is one of the arguments the Northumberland County school district makes in urging U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann not to make permanent the order he issued Oct. 31 that allowed a seventh-grade girl identified only as A.B. to sign up for the middle school wrestling team.
The district has a policy that prohibits boy and girls from being on the same team in a contact sport.
Due to the continual close contact involved in wrestling, the sport warrants a separation between male and females, especially when the individuals reach the age of puberty, the district states in a brief filed with the court.

It’s gonna be fun when the first ‘transgendered’ whatever joins the team.
I’m not even sure girls should rassle at all on a varsity level. It’s out of character.
and (3): her proven-to-be-litigious may sue the male wrestlers for sexual assault or harassment if they touch a boob, and they will be put on the sexual predator watch list and have their futures ruined.
Yabut, what if they're a bunch of mean-looking, short-cropped, hatchet-faced, bone-crushing lesbians?
Well maybe we could have tomboy clubs... and tomboys don’t have to turn out lez.
I couldn’t disagree more.
The camaraderie between boys and girls make them like brother and sister. They really bond quite well as buddies and gain mutual respect.
By the time they get to high school they don’t even date each other but have to get dates from other schools because it feels too “close” to date your hockey team member!
So where do you draw the line? Swimming? Chess? Soccer? Field Hockey?
You attitude is very Taliban to me.
As long as we keep emasculating the young men and encouraging young women to be one of the guys this should do absolute wonders for our country!
I remember when I had sensual body parts.
If you are 14 - 15 years old & wrestle a girl of the same age mother nature will take over despite your dedication to the purity of the sport. That being said I would have loved to participate.
I’m guessing you’renot involved with youth wrestling. Both of my boys wrestle and there are girls on the team. The girls practice with the boys and girls (who you practice with depends on weight class and skill level), the coaches demonstrate using the girls (whichever wrestler just happens to be closest when a demonstration is needed) and the girls wrestle boys in tournaments... and win. Not because the boys don’t want to touch them or hurt them (believe me, lay off on one of our girls and she’ll make you regret it), but because they are well trained, well conditioned and well coached. They also know how to win with grace and lose with dignity. Get over it. No big deal unless some âadultâ makes it a big deal.
Surely there is a balance between burkas and having boys grabbing at girls’ groins....
That said the parents are ridiculous when they say
"It is the contention of the girls parents, Brian and Angie Beattie of Herndon, their daughter was being prevented from trying out for the wrestling team due to her gender."
Well, duh. Gender is a qualifier for participating on a boy's or girl's team? What a shocker!
Well, this comes from confusion. God is the answer here, but we thought we were oh so smart. Some of the supposedly oh so smart people even ran churches, and they were the worst because they could have shared God but instead presumed to re-mold God.
You're an idiot.
Amazing even some FReepers fall for the leftism of boys and girls being somehow the same. They are not the same.
Or getting a boner in those spandex wrestling uniforms after rolling around with a hot girl.
No one has ever refused to wrestle her that I know about.
But I was at a match where the mom was videotaping a match and the opponent’s dad got in her face and screamed at her not to video his son wrestling a girl. It went on until the dad was ejected from the tourney.
The son lost.
I have been on the mats for a lot of years now and have seen countless matches between boys and girls. Not once has that ever happened. Not once.
sounds good and redneck to me
