The first wave of Obamacare cancellations has hit a group of Americans who are well-positioned to swing several critical Senate elections next November.

“This voting bloc could have a decisive impact in close races in 2014,” according to a Nov. 11 memo from Resurgent Republic, a survey firm that tracks public opinion on GOP-related priorities.

“Four of the nine most competitive states that Senate Democrats are defending have self-insured populations at or above the national average” of 5 percent, said the report. …

2014 tax bills will create whole new array of TEA partiers even if they don’t call themselves that

I would define them as people making too much for subsidies, or medicaid (the subsidies peter out logarithmically vs wage level).

And not waivered out in a union.

Mid terms typically have lower voter turnout, and a swarm of motivated folks just might show up to defeat Obamacare supporters.

At this point nothing would be more fun than to see Obamacare become a Death Star for Democrats.

And, therein lies the dilemma facing some of the Democrats who voted for and supported this monstrosity known as the Affordable Care Act!

The package (web site) in which it was presented is trivial.

The enactment of this departure from freedom, however, is likely to be viewed by future generations who will be able to trace their own hardships and loss of freedom to the Christmas Eve one-Party "enacted programs" called the Affordable Care Act--itself a misnomer if there ever was one.

Further, Mr. Sommers, the political debate waged by courageous men and women was not about policy. It was about principle.

Some of the Senators from the President's own so-called "progressive" Party, Senators Hagan and Landrieu, also are taking notice.

"The People" of the states, as Hagan calls them, fearing loss of the 2014 election, do deserve better than a government-imposed and taxpayer-funded collaboration between Democrats and insurance companies to come between themselves and their doctors and health care providers!

What the Senators really are saying is that the government must get its coercive "redistribution" mechanism working more efficiently than did the web site!

They know, as do their fellow Democrats, that the youthful victims may begin to see that the hand in their pockets is not their own voluntary charity, but that of the coercive hand of force.

There was, perhaps, an unintended, but telling, remark within the so-called statements of "apology" in the NBC interview this week.

With regard to Democratic "progressives'" intent with the so-called "Affordable" Care Act, the President claimed it was to cause people to choose its provisions:". . . because they want 'em, as opposed to because they're forced into it." - Barack Obama, NBC Interview, 11-07-13

The biggest lie of them all is this telling statement--else, why would there be a "penalty" (uh, a "tax," as Chief Justice Roberts calls it) for failure to participate??

Contrast Obama's statement with the honest wisdom of America's First President:

"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like a fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." - George Washington

Youth of America, you were not asked, were you, if you "want" that added expense for insurance you probably will not need for several years? Bet you could use your earnings in those early years for getting your first apartment, your first car, etc., etc. But, no, you are being "forced" to use your hard-earned dollars to pay for other people's assorted unhealthy lifestyles, or the myriad of other "forced" coverages you don't need or want!

"However combinations or associations of [factions] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government - destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." - George Washington

Now, that is what George Washington recognized as the meaning of "subverting"--not the power of government, but that of "the People."

It might help some republicans to tell voters...”That increase in your med insurance is the TAX applied via the insurance company to cover the uninsured.” most people see it as just a new cost to them not raised taxes. But isn’t it in fact just taking money from one group to give to another = TAX.

They are the people who abuse their right to vote. they do not fell the need to inform themselves, and are easily swayed by Newspaper headlines, emotional appeal and brainwashing by every venue from Martin Lawrence movies (Whit House Down) to ‘Jeopardy’, yesterday pushing immigration as if amnesty is the same.

These are the voters who get all of the attention of the RNC, and whose policies, shallowness, and weakness cycles around.

They are more important to the GOP than their base, normal people interested in the health of the country as proscribed in the Constitution, as politicians deny that they cannot possibly win them without altering events, while the Dems, paying attention to their radical left base, easily sweep in the swing people easily swayed by last minute arguments the dems are so adept at making, in their deceptive, shameless fashion.

The swing voters run the country. They are the leaders, as exemplified by the complete lack of intelligence in pop culture.

And they are the people the Republicans hope to win in their move to push the brilliant Sen Cruz off the stage with a vaudevillian hook, making everyone taste the putridness of the obamacare disaster, these are the people who are supposed to storm the Mall to defund Obamacare, after the House could have done that two months or 3 years ago.

The swing voters are in charge.

And after they fail to repeal Obamacare, as they fail to do anything, as they won’t know not to blame the insurance companies and Republicans, as it’s been set up to do, we’ll all breathlessly await their next leadership move - what will they do??

But the conservatives, will not vote for the swing voters’ dream, the great and wonderful - ‘well, I’d vote for him over Hillary’ Christie, brilliantly getting himself elected to a blue state, as he ran as a democrat, while the Tea Party either comes in to save the country or the GOP wins, yet again, another term of giving everything to the precious swing voters, and thereby, to the liberals, socialists, communists, and all of their interests, leaving the Constitution to suffer.

Or, to put it in brief, the swing voters are the stepchild that takes everything, gets all the attention, resources and affection and wrecks the car every time.

Depends on how bad Zerocare gets. I don’t think the GOP-e can save it even with their most Herculean of efforts to do so.

I call them independents. Can’t decide whose side to be on, wait till the last minute to see who is winning and vote for that side. then claim to be “open minded”

That’s okay. The left has a remedy for this and it’s called VOTER FRAUD. By the way, how’s Obenshain doing? Leading now by less than 17 votes? That’s what I thought!
