The Boston Globe has a look back at Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz‘s three years as a student at Harvard Law from 1992 to 1995. It turns out largely unremarkable, as Cruz seems to be the exact same person then that he is today. But there were two curious anecdotes worth note.

Oh My..that IS a “Dream Ticket”!
I love your choices, based upon the individual expertise of each person . Brilliant....
EXCEPT..not enough Diversity! There is not a single transgendered-lesbian-questioning-handicapped-wiccan-muslim on your entire list! What’s wrong wid yo?
For the next two years, the MSM will be fawning over Krispy while attacking Cruz.
As soon as Christie gets the nomination, they’ll attack him and promote Hillary the whole 9 yards.
Obviously, that disqualifies him for the presidency. /sarc
Everclear--"a little dab will do ya'"
Put in the punch bowl of a group of teetotalers, it can be quite amusing.
And his college “career”....
Occidental, etc....who paid for it? how did he get in? what status did he use to apply? Who knew him then?....
*crickets from media*
Apparently, there are some candidates that the media and the public can actually find out information covering their years in college. There are other candidates that you can’t find anything on their college records or anyone who even knew them in college.
Ted Cruz has authored more than 80 SCOTUS briefs and presented 43 oral arguments, including nine before SCOTUS. Cruz’s record of having argued before SCOTUS nine times is more than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of Congress. Cruz has commented on his nine cases in front of SCOTUS: “We ended up year after year arguing some of the biggest cases in the country. There was a degree of serendipity in that, but there was also a concerted effort to seek out and lead conservative fights.”
Cruz has been named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the 50 Best Litigators under 45 in America, by The National Law Journal as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America, and by Texas Lawyer as one of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century.
Cruz attended Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1995 with a Juris Doctor. While at Harvard Law,Cruz was a primary editor of the Harvard Law Review, and executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and a founding editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review. Referring to Cruz’s time as a student at Harvard Law, Professor Alan Dershowitz said, “Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant. At Harvard Law, Cruz was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law and Economics.
With the failing Obamacare and Cruz being proven right the Liberal smear and demonization machine is firing up against Cruz!
Now we know that Cruz got drunk at Harvard. We also know that Bush was an average student at Yale. But, we don’t even know that Obama really went to college! Why did he spend millions to keep all his past records secret?
Well, there’s the part where he faked being from Kenya to get foreign student admission. That’s a highlight.
Also, his membership in various radical anti-white groups.
Wow, Ted had a college career. Isn’t that interesting. All you investigating pundits start digging!
Famed Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz ranks Sen. Ted Cruz among the schools smartest students, adding that the Canada-born Texan can run for president in 2016.Cruz was a terrific student, Dershowitz told The Daily Caller. He was always very active in class, presenting a libertarian point of view. He didnt strike me as a social conservative, more of a libertarian.
He had brilliant insights and he was clearly among the top students, as revealed by his class responses, Dershowitz added.
Dershowitz also gave a high estimate of Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren who has decidedly different political views than Cruz.
Dershowitz says he and Cruz would often debate issues presented in Dershowitzs criminal law class. Cruzs views were always thoughtful and his responses were interesting, the law professor explained. I obviously disagreed with them and we had good arguments in class. I would challenge him and he would come up with very good responses.
Cruzs career has not surprised me. I thought he would go on to accomplish important things.
His movement toward social conservatism has surprised me a little bit, Dershowitz added, but people will change and perhaps when you are at Harvard Law School you are less likely to espouse a socially conservative point of view.
Cruz was an outstanding student in my class, Dershowitz said. Without a doubt he is among the smartest students Ive ever had Ive had great students but he has to be at the top of anyones short list, in terms of raw brain power.

Back then, I wondered whether the Reagan-Thatcher years represented a high-water mark for conservatism.
Sigh...
Yep! “He avoided Boston”
One smart guy!
Reportedly the DU choice for "Obama's Third Term"
Ted Cruz has no skeletons in his closet, that we know of, but I’m sure the MSM is digging up every story they can unlike the passive job they’ve done in investigating the past of the president and Queen Hillary.
I like to cite Dershowitz because he's one of the Globe's own. Those quotes must really rankle them.
???
"..they're smart enough and yet they wish suffering on others and are just downright evil."
Cruz is rejecting that view...but he does seem to have unintentionally summed up Barack Obama pretty well.
Is this the worst that the left can come up with against Ted Cruz? We know they will dig into anything, whether it be innuendo or half-baked facts, to destroy just about the only male conservative who refuses to fold against their lies and Alinsky-style tactics. They will try every way possible to show he is not the real deal. I pray that America continues to wake up and listen to him, Sarah, Mike, Lee, Jeff Sessions, etc. These people ARE the real deal and along with faith in our Creator, we’d better start talking them up with relatives and friends now, let others know the great things these people stand for and their willingness to be called fools in order to do the right thing for all Americans. The republicans are terrible at getting the word out for what the party stands for, so WE must do it in our communities and start to light the flame of liberty.
How about we start a thread here, like it has been mentioned by more than one freeper already, to enlighten us all to the RINOS, the real deal republicans and independents, and expose the mealy-mouthed RINOS and even state senators and representatives. We need to turn them out, regardless of whether they serve nationally or in the statehouse. We really need to get into action here.
Hilarious how the MSM articles always prominently mention that Cruz was “born in Canada.” Obviously they’re trying to fan the flames among some potential supporters on the right that he might not be constitutionally eligible.
The MSM is trying to hurt Cruz in the GOP primary equally as much as they’re trying to help Christie. That’s all you need to know...
