NBC’s Lisa Myers profiled several people who are receiving health plan cancellation letters due to Obamacare Tuesday.
For example, George Schwab of North Carolina, said he was “perfectly happy” with his plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield, which also insured his wife for a $228 monthly premium. But this past September, he was surprised to receive a letter saying his policy was no longer available.
The “comparable” plan the insurance company offered him carried a $1,208 monthly premium and a $5,500 deductible. And the best option he’s found on the exchange so far offered a 415 percent jump in premium, to $948 a month.

That amounts to 4 car payments per month...or a house payment. This will ruin the economy, bankrupt families, and ruin America.

That’s the plan. “Individuals” will soon learn that the best thing for “us” to do will be to move in to the city in to 400 sq/ft cubicles, sell any and all private modes of transportation, walk to the government stores to get out allotment for the week/mth and pray we have running water all day. Oh, and you won’t need any firearms either so turn them in when you enter the district. Hmmmm. Sounds more and more like the Hunger Games doesn’t it.

I think if I were young again (and not on Medicare) I would just go without insurance.
And while I’m at it, the insurance companies were/are in cahoots with Obama! None of them are our friends. It’s sad that the insurance companies have sold us out. It’s all for money. They are all getting richer at our expense.
All of us on group policies in small midsized business, our time is coming. My policy for me and spouse is $338/mo. now. I have now idea how much it will be Jan 1st 2015.
I used to worry about paying the mortgage every month. Now the mortgage is an after thought to taxes and insurance.

The property taxes would be more than a mortgage in some scenarios.
