Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...did you sing today? Get some good rest for the week ahead?

The day started with rain, changed to sleet, and is now snowing...an inch already. All the rain means LOTS of ice under the snow. I think I need to leave early for work in the morning. First day always has more than 100 accidents/fender benders.

Thank you, Mac, for your service to our country. Happy Veterans Day!

To: ConorMacNessa; Kathy in Alaska; All

We do not know their names.
We do not know where they died or how they died.
We do not know where they lived or how they lived before or after.
But we know that for a brief and shining moment, ALL were heroes, and that anywhere on earth that men are free to dream great dreams is their legacy.
They did not fight for glory.
They did not fight for self.
They fought for the ideals that formed this Great Republic.
We honor them to a man and woman, every single one of them.
We will not forget, and what is more important, what is MOST important, GOD will not forget.
They owe us nothing.
WE OWE THEM EVERYTHING.

Nor should we forget those who served at great peril to themselves because they wore no uniform and carried no badge other than their patriotism. Some we know. Many died, and we never knew. Many lived, and we still don't know.

Those who are still with us, we honor you.
Those who have gone before, we honor you.
May we never live to see the day that all your sacrifice was in vain.

For my father. The greatest thing he fought for was the chance to come back home.
