Why do we want the person who fixes the problem be the same as the person who made the problem in the first place?
The practice of elected officials passing laws, regulations, etc. and passing the enforcement on to government bureaucrats to carry out as they, the bureaucrats, see fit is not some new procedure from local government up through the states to the federal government. This is how ‘government’ has become such a fiasco. Think about if you would like to see what your neighbor pushes is what you want. You don’t have much if any say about how your neighbor will act but you can bet your bottom dollar if push comes to shove the governing body will support the bureaucrat because they know the bureaucrats are many and have election power.
