The NRA is a one issue organization.

They only care about the individual’s voting record.

All incumbents, D or R, with a solid voting record gets their nod over challengers.

They are not a Tea Party PAC.

The NRA is a one issue organization.

And when all our other Constitutional rights are gone, they won't understand why theirs got canceled as well.
They think only their issue will survive the "fundamental change?"
They need to see the bigger picture. They're playing small ball. Their opposition is playing for keeps.

Yup, and they also helped out Harry Reid.
No thanks, they can keep their single issue on their march to the ash heap of history.

They were not a one issue organization in the 2010 elections when they supported Democrats over Republicans who had better 2A voting records.

Their behavior during the 2010 elections is why I didn’t renew my membership.

Doesn't work, though. although they're morons in pretty much every other way, Congressional "leaders" aren't political morons. When they have some new piece of tyranny up for vote, they know how many votes they need and who's up for reelection, particularly in close districts, and will let vulnerable members cast useless pro-freedom votes to bolster their records. Something has to be done to correct for that. You could count only pro-liberty votes when the pro-liberty forces won, but then you might end up punishing someone who voted the right way for the right reasons in a losing battle. Not sure what to do, but I know that you can't totally go by voting records.

EXACTLY.

Anyone who doesn't get that, or can't live with it, might look for some other organization to support. But, when it comes to the Second Amendment, no other has the size and might of the NRA.

Meanwhile, we NRA members can (1) lend our personal support to superior primary candidates, and (2) notify the NRA we're doing so, and why.
